I got a coconut matcha and there was barely any matcha in it. The color and taste was basically just milk with a hint of coconut. I love matcha so I was disappointed by this, but I still drank it. After I took this photo I ended up going back and asking them to add more matcha, which they did and were very nice about it. I did however notice the matcha was some premade liquid (??) so adding more honestly didn't change the flavor at all and it was still watery/milky. The cafe itself is super cute with indoor and outdoor seating. I also got my drink very fast, but thats maybe why it wasn't made very well.
Baristas are so friendly and willing to engage. Love the small cafe feel and their reasonable prices. Glad we found this hidden gem.
Looks nice but there's no parking. Down the block is private pay parking with a minimum of 1 hour or $3.
Not 15 minutes or 30 minutes.
So you pay $3, which is half of a coffee already.
Stopped in for some coffee and greatly enjoyed our order! We had the special lattes French Vanilla and Strawberry Matcha and both tasted great. The barista was friendly and made our drinks quickly. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seats. Recommend if you are looking for coffee or something light to eat, much less busy than Park Social next door but more limited of a menu.
Coffee is great, but kinda tough place to get work done. WiFi is nearly none existent and they don’t have outlets reachable from any table.

It's ok. I'm not a fan of cashless, but ok. The ambiance was cold and lacking personally. The coffee was.. forgettable. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back

This is such a cute cafe! The staff is amazing and so is their service. I had the luxe latte and it was made with mocha and brown butter- delicious!! My friend had a chai latte and her drink was really smooth too. There’s plenty of seating outside, and free wifi. I will definitely come to work here more often. A true hidden gem!
Parking: They validate parking upto 3 hours!

Hidden coffee place. After Starbucks and peets keep disappointing me. I seldom buy coffee and make my coffee at home. Glad to have this place close to my apartment! Love Lux latte!

This place has such a cozy ambiance but feels very elegant at the same time. As you walk in, friendly smiles greet you and gladly will recommend things if you have trouble deciding or will make whatever you need. I got their seasonal Gingerbread Latte and it was spectacular! Rich, but nutty flavors with a sweet hint. A perfect balance for the fall season! Thank you for the great cup of coffee! ☕
Parking: The street parking can be hard to find, or is for residents only or is timed so I recommend the parking garage for a longer stay there. It will be worth the money and is closest to the cafe. If you can get the 30 min. Parking at the roundabout next to the building, then that is the most ideal spot for a quick trip.

Perk Social checks all the boxes of a great coffee shop and I am delighted to give them a five star review. The location, friendly staff, and overall vibe make Perk Social a great place.First, Perk Social is located in a newly developed area just off HWY 163 in Kearny Mesa, near the Convoy District. I will include some photos of the modern and curated atmosphere surrounding Perk Social that includes very fancy office space and luxury amenity filled apartments and a park. I walked to Park Social from the nearby Courtyard San Diego Central hotel and was delighted that there was an option for coffee and light food so close by. The Perk Social hours are open until 3:00PM and the Bistro at the Courtyard closes much sooner after traditional breakfast hours end.The staff at Perk Social are very friendly and stood out to me during my San Diego visit. Despite only having a small order and the café not being busy at the time of my visit, I was given full attention and thanked for my order. So many times when in a similar situation I'd expect an employee to be distracted with social media or doing some administrative task but at Perk Social I felt that the employee was genuinely happy I was a customer at that moment in time. Thank you.The overall vibe of Perk Social is a professional, friendly, modern, curated experience that will meet the needs of a variety of customers and is a step up from similar businesses in the area. I do think Perk Social has an affiliation with the nearby Park Social, but I'm not sure. Park Social is more of a full service restaurant in the same area whereas Perk Social is a simple café and coffee shop.

Design & flare is A+ for Instagramable content. Staff was super friendly. Plenty of people were working on their laptops…seems like there is a lot of accommodation for just that. Parking is in a paid structure…but you get the ticket validated for free parking when you make a purchase. My iced caramel latte was a little weak for coffee flavor.
