Really good, authentic enough for food. And the price is reasonable!

I understand why it has so many good reviews, service great, food tastes good, presentation is nice, bathrooms are clean and they have a very nice Irish soap that smells good.
It was worth trying once but we have our preferred Spicy Lao Kitchen restaurant on clairemont Mesa blvd and 163fwy.
We ordered the Nam Cao extra crunchy and it was not crunchy. At Spicy Lao Kitchen they make it crunchy and you don’t even have to ask.

Everything is good specially the Chicken Wings, the fried rice was on the spot., Salt. & pepper shrimp is fresh,.cucumber salad is superb except the Gaeng Nor Mai tasted weird, I've eaten this countless time in Thailand. & I cook 4 myself as well, so I know it tasted weird, so I barely eat.

Beautiful restaurant; service with a smile. We went for Pho Lao & Khao Poon and the flavors were delicious and authentic. I am gluten intolerant and had no problems with these dishes. Can't wait to come back to try other dishes! The restaurant is clean. Parking was not an issue. Thank you for being another great addition to the San Diego Lao Family!

Laos food in San Diego? Oh Yeah!
Forget searching for authentic Laotian food in San Diego – just go to Pha Khao! Every single dish was packed with those incredible, real-deal flavors.
We started with Nam Khao – crispy, tangy, perfect and came with all the fixings lettuce, fresh herbs, banana flower. Then came the amazing Laos sausage and the comforting Khao Poon noodle soup. The beef larb was super fresh and zesty, just how it should be.
The 3 flavor fried fish was a total showstopper, hitting all the right notes. And the crab fried rice was a delicious and full with crab meat. For papaya salad fans, the Tum Luangprabang was next-level good. We finished with the creamy, rich Mee KA tee (coconut curry noodles).
And the service? Five-star, all the way. The servers were on it, friendly, and made the whole experience even better.
Seriously, if you're in San Diego, you have to try Pha Khao Laos Cuisine. You'll leave happy, full! Next time we're in town we'll have to try their soups!

Ordered to go. The papaya salad portion should be bigger for the price. Drunken noodles tasted great.

I went there to eat with a coworker for lunch earlier today. It was my very first time having been there. I was recommended by a couple of my friends. The restaurant was pretty spacious and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the laab seen (ລາບຊີ້ນ) a Lao minced beef salad and the tom khueng nai (ຕົ້ມເຄື່ອງໃນ) a Lao beef innards soup with some sticky rice. Lunch was delicious. I will definitely be going back there again. I will be bringing my mom. She was actually the person that had brought up this place to me before as well. See you again in the near future.

Amazing experience at the soft opening tonight. We've been excited for this place to open ever since the sign first went up. We ordered one of our all-time favorite dishes, Nam Khao, and it was easily the best we've had, with generous portions of all the leafy greens and herbs. We also ordered an incredible pork dish served in the same style, called Khao Soi Phan. We also were able to bring plenty home for a midnight snack. I strongly recommend trying both of these dishes, and I can't wait to return to try their sausages and papaya salad.

Service was fantastic and fast--even though our server mentioned the food could take some time due to the soft opening, it came out really quickly. The ambiance is warm without feeling dark, and the place feels welcoming and pleasant. We really needed a solid dine-in restaurant in the area, so we couldn't be happier that the experience was so great. It was also good to see the community vibe among the other patrons: everyone was clearly enjoying the experience here. This promises to be an excellent neighborhood restaurant.

Ya’ll, this place is super good. They definitely did their big one. If you’re open to trying to cuisines, this is the first place you should go. It’s something about the beef broth with this specific pho beef soup!! It looks straight of an anime or from that food fight anime. Please come and be there or your square!!

Food was very good! Fast service for soft opening. I would definitely make further drive to come here rather than restaurants near my home in Kearny Mesa area.
