Very nice bar and restaurant. Staff is excellent. Good menu and good service. Had a great time. Enjoyed the happy hour specials.
First time eating here and we really enjoyed it.We are originally from England so had to try the scotch eggs and the fish and chips both were really good. The beers were cold and reasonably priced and our server was great.
Haven't been here in years. It was a quiet little place off the beaten path; that hasn't changed.
I went in to meet a friend of mine, hoping to grab a bite and get a few of their beers on tap.
Well, things have REALLY gone downhill completely since my last visit .
There were about 3 people in the bar, not including 1 employee.
Honestly, from the moment we stepped in the door we were TOTALLY IGNORED.
NO hello
NO what can I get you?
NO offering of a menu
NO SERVICE of ANY kind!!!!
It took over 20 minutes for the person to even ask if we wanted anything...she just watched TV the whole time.
Aside from that, they only had about 4 beers on tap, and after 20 MORE minutes of being ignored, we left.
Definitely WON'T be back!
If they're trying to keep this place a graveyard...they've succeeded!!!
Most welcoming atmosphere, a well-stocked bar, and several small and large tables to accommodate any group or individual. Minimal wait time, a very enticing menu with a huge variety of options, and the food was scrumptious!
This is a long time San Diego pub with a British flavor. We have been going there for a long time, mostly for the wings. Service is a bit slow - they only have one person who serves people at the tables and runs the bar. The wings used to be some of the better ones in San Diego, but seem to have dropped off in quality, somewhat.
Great food. Shrimp tacos were amazing, and the wings were great. Plus, it's has great beers on tap.
Great British food, beer, and cocktails. Karaoke too.
If there is a place with better fish & chips I certainly don’t know where it is! Owner’s are super friendly and inviting. Food is consistently great. An endless list of craft beers! Definitely worth stopping in!

Food was ok. From a scale 1-5 I will give it a 1 no flavor in the fish, it was greasy. The French fries 5 super good. The server had the look like she hated being there kinda rude no interest in serving us. I will never go back!!!

Was craving mushy peas from England travels. Unfortunately it didn’t meet my expectations ? however the lovely service, on tap lager and salmon burger saved this review. Am quite sure one of our orders included pub chips but we only had fries ? perhaps it’s just the seasoned fries? Will be hunting for another British pub in the future

Local pub run by a nice husband and wife team that offers a great place for locals to hang out, drink, and have delicious English/Scottish food.
My husband and his friend have dinner here often or I will occasionally accompany him. It's a hidden gem and I wish more people knew about this place.
The people who run it are super nice and make everyone feel welcome. The prices are low and makes dining out still affordable!
We like their crispy tater tots with curry, Yum! The Scotch eggs are delicious too. So are the Garlic and pepper wings and only $11 for 6 or $18 for a dozen. Their Fish 'n Chips is another favorite of ours.
My husband loves their mince meat pies. I've had their steak and mushroom pie and that was yummy too. Only $14 with two sides of chips/mash potatoes and mushy peas or beans. So much food too!
Oh, you got to try their honey mead too! They have Karaoke on Tuesday nights.

Bar none the best British pub in San Diego County!!!
Maybe even on the West Coast it can compete with any pub in England, Scotland or Ireland.
Come support them now! When they need your support most because of the fight with their landlord...
