Absolutely fantastic food! Ribs, pulled pork, chicken breast and some onion rings were on the menu for last night's dinner. Great service and air conditioned building. Always a good time at Phil's BBQ. Don't forget to try the cornbread too! So good!

We ordered: rib dinner - a little heavy handed on the cinnamon but they were delicious, colossal onion rings that were too oily but the crunch on them made up for it, baked beans a little too sweet, and ceasar salad super delicious. Overall excellent meal and good value!!!

Excellent spot for great bbq!

They have an extensive menu for all BBQ and ribs lovers. Great portion sizes, friendly staff, and a decent sized dining area.

Definitely worth the try if you’re around the area and would love to come back to try more stuff.

Wow.....is the word at Phil's for their great Beef Ribs! They do them way better than anybody else. Loaded with what amounts to be prime rib on the bone. Tender, perfectly smoked, and served hot and delicious. Good side dishes too. I had bbq baked beans and cole slaw. Great friendly employees too!

Never been before so the experience was new and expectations were vulled. New to San Diego and ran across this popular joint. The attendant at order stand was so nice and welcoming noting we were here for the first time. She gave us stickers and helped us through the order process.
Wait for the food was minimal, and we chose outside seating. We were greeted by Mimi who was just as nice as could be and she checked on us several times to make sure everything was good.
Food was cooked perfectly and was punched full of flavor. I got the boneless ribs and oh man I savored every bite.
Wish we had one back home, I'd visit often.

Ribs and chicken don't fall off the bone as it used to in the past, also the potato salad needs more attention, taste is great but too big of chunks and a little under cooked.

BBQ heaven on earth! The line seemed super long, but moved incredibly fast. The restaurant functions as a well oiled machine, pumping out hot and fresh food moments after it was ordered. The cornbread came out immediately and it was the best cornbread I’d ever tasted, as it was warm, fluffy, sweet and enhanced even more by the sweet butter. All of the mains were phenomenal as well! I ordered the El Toro tri tip sandwich, which was so big, I had no idea how to even eat it! The sauce was heavenly and the meat was great. The only issue, was my dad who doesn’t eat pork was mistakenly served it, and ate some, though they were quite good about correcting the mistake. The cookies were also incredible, as they were cakey and sweet and were just perfect. To top it off, the vibe of the restaurant is so cool, with a main dining room, a bar, and an outdoor patio. Overall, couldn’t recommend the place more.

Beef ribs are excellent. Meat pulls clean off the bone. Bbq sauce is very good.
