The only establishment I go to for pho! I'm here almost everyday! Try their ube cafe, and their iced coconut cafe smoothie it's 🔥

This is a great place to grab noodles or rice stuff is friendly and helpful there's plenty of parking in the back side of the building easy to find.

They have 2 entrances to be aware.
if it’s your first time there it’s confusing.

I go to the front counter to get a table for 1 and very rudely I’m asked to go to the check in and wait. I obviously don’t know where that is since I entered thru the second door not realizing there was another entrance.
Anyway I didn’t like the way I was treated initially and I left. Maybe the food is good but very bad first impression

If I could give this place zero stars I would.

My family went to eat at 7pm. We had the most horrible service here from the service. We ordered a family style meal for a few people in my family. They served our food and did not give my family any bowls or any utensils. They got soup and so we needed bowls for this. No one gave us any bowls. We waited for 30 mins without any bowls. We had to get up, walk towards the kitchen, ask for the bowls, and even start eating. The servers gave us attitude as they gave us the bowls we HAD to ask for. We understand that it was busy but they gave us big pho bowls that were way too big. We understand that they might have run out of rice bowls but they should have communicated this with us instead of being rude and passive-aggressive.

We had the worst experience and the servers here really should be re trained. I have been a server before and understand that it can get really busy but customer service should be #1 at all times. The food was also bad today too. We wouldn't be coming back and hope that others try other spots in the Clairemont area. There are many other options and better restaurants with better food and better service!!

Pho Dueyn Mai has gotten downhill.

My husband and I enjoy this restaurant whenever we are in San Diego. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, wait times are minimal and food comes out fast and delicious.

Wheelchair accessibility: We sometimes bring our wheelchair bound daughter and they are very accommodating and thoughtful of her needs.

Pho Duyen Mai is amazing! My daughter ordered the pho with rare steak and I had the vegan fried tofu with lemongrass and pepper sauce. We also shared the vegan tofu spring rolls. Everything was so delicious. The portions were really big and we left feeling full and happy. The service was excellent too with friendly and quick staff. Highly recommend this place for great food and a great experience.

Vegetarian options: There are few vegan options and are clearly marked on the menu.

If you're not in the area, or in the area. You need to stop by. Okay not need but you should. No pressure. I stopped in with a group. Got our regular usual. Rare beef steak, shank, along with seafood. Do not forget a side of white rice, and some nice lovely hot Jasmine tea. Just relax, have fun and enjoy.

Get the chicken wings in fish sauce! It's fried chicken wings covered in "chili" fish sauce (I don't think it's spicy at all, but I do see chili flakes in the sauce). The wings were crisp despite being covered in sauce. The umami bomb was incredible. There are only 6 pieces for $13; it is pricey but man these wings were so delicious!

They also have a variety of Vietnamese coffee, but I got the classic this time. I'd be curious to try others next time. Next time? Of course! This place seems promising; the wait staff were efficient and you can tell that they get a lot of regulars (they asked me if I needed the menu when I got seated). With that kind of patronage, you know the food has to be good!
