The food itself was bland, yet over-spiced with plain black pepper. I couldn't even finish my dish. The beef was overcooked and bitter. Something weird about the chicken in my bf's pho. It was also Luke warm. It also took way too long to come out. Overpriced. Not worth it at all. We left practically untouched food. Paid and left. It was the second worst meal I've had at a Vietnamese restaurant and that's saying alot because I have eaten out at hundreds.

Our go-to place with friends and family. They have a lot of good dishes for everyone and can accommodate large groups. My little one loves the calamari appetizer, my other child always gets the Pho and my favorite dish is the vermicelli bowls. The staff is super friendly. It's the perfect spot for a casual and enjoyable meal.

You all have to come here for the Pork Paste salad rolls. The pork is juicy and tasty. It's got a crunch egg roll wrapper inside the roll to give it great crunchy texture. Bun Bo Hue is also amazing. Large serving size and the soup warms the soul. ? Would come back!

Long overdue review!! Pho Duyen Mai is my first stop driving down from the bay. The establishment is nice and clean. The aroma of pho just everywhere once you walk in! Not to mention their Bun Bo Hue is as authentic as your Grandma kitchen Customer service is give it a solid A plus. I'm a server myself and got nothing to complain about .

4.5 round up. First time customers and came by with a large group of adults and kids. They were very accommodating and had bigger tables, tables to accommodate 4 and 2. Service was on point and they were good to check in with us. As a family who knows good pho.. this was a very strong contender for the pho places around. Generous with noodles and great rich broth (a little heavier handed on msg and star anise but not so much to be intolerable). I would rank this higher than pho cow cali on mira mesa and that speaks volumes. Cha gio (fried eggrolls were yum) and all the other dishes the group ordered looked great. They have a broad menu with different types of soups, noodles, rice and pho dishes. Definitely would recommend and return.

We've been coming here for yearrrrrs literally. It's our favorite pho spot in San Diego. We love getting pho, broken rice and vermicelli. Surf and turf and Del Mar spring rolls are our favorite too !!! Oh and Chicken wings are so good too. We love the staff and service.

Came here tonight to get dinner for my moms birthday. She's very picky but she absolutely loved the nem nuong rolls and the seafood noodles. I got a small bowl of Pho Tai with egg rolls (not pictured). My boyfriend got the vermicelli noodles with chicken and egg rolls and demolished it within minutes. This place seems to get busy on the weekends but the wait is worth it and the menu is large enough to try things that are not pho. Definitely recommend! Food - 9.5/10 Service - 10/10

My recent trip to Pho Duyen Mai in San Diego was seriously convenient with our little ones. Tucked away in an inconspicuous strip mall, we were a bit sus about this Vietnamese joint until we stepped in and realize just how much real estate it has. From the second we walked in, we were greeted and welcomed. They pulled up a high chair for our little one. It's not easy these days to feel welcomed at a restaurants with a 2 year old toddler. The menu was packed with all variety of Vietnamese dishes as most of these places are. We kicked things off with some crispy egg rolls that were seriously on point. The spring rolls were really well put together too. For mains, we went for the classic beef pho and asked for extra noddles for the kids. The price was just right. The broth in the pho was so flavorful but the noodle was a bit more mushy than my liking. The staff were super friendly and expedient. made us feel right at home. They really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Overall, Pho Duyen Mai is really convenient and deliver quality meal. I'm not sure if I would recommend everyone to go out of their way to come here but it's definitely a cool local joint that I would visit if I lived in the area.

Bun Bo hue is not that good but Bun Thit Nuong and Bo Luc Lac is good. So skip Bun Bo Hue. The worst for this restaurant is their waiter attitude through customer. I remember now why I stop going to this restaurant. The waiter treated us like we don't what we want. I asked for no pork feet and my wife repeated for me because it was pretty noise. He gave my wife stink eye and said I heard. When the soup comes out , pork feet was in. My wife asked for red chili paste for fish sauce, he again gave my stink eye and ask what kind of chili you wanted. We have so many chili. If you are Vietnamese, you know there is only one chile paste for fish sauce. Bottom line, I will not come back here so this kind services. I pay for good attitude and good foods.
