Delicious cauliflower crust pizza, cooked perfectly, worth every dollar. As it was a Friday night, the restaurant was busy, plenty of online orders and walk-in customers. The staff was so friendly and accommodating; they seemed to have a good flow, everyone working so hard. I look forward to going back!

Im a former employee of this store location. The store manager, Letti, is abusive, unorganized, overwhelmingly controlling, and overall the worst store manager I've met. The food there is expired, touched with bare hands, unsanitary and generally unsafe to eat. To all the vegans, gluten free, and allergenic customers: your pizza touches every other pizza and topping (including meat) in the oven. The inside is unmanaged, unorganized and neglected. Letti, once again the worst manager I've ever had, would smack her employees hands to back away from 16 years old and older when they would touch something she didn't want them to. She allowed expired food to be sold and lied to customers to their faces about expiration dates and if we were in fact out of stock of a product. She is lazy and selfish. I worked there for only four months before quitting due to the environment and food conditions.

We were excited to try this pieology location. We've never been to this one before. While ordering our pizzas they proceeded to tell us they were out of several ingredients. The Asian woman made my friend feel embarrassed because she did not want the pizza after finding out they were out of key Ingredients. The customer service was horrible, the employees need to be trained better. They lost our business for good. I'm sure they will lose more. We ended up taking our business to Panda Express a couple of stores down. Pieology do better....

2nd review on this place. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted too, “how many pizzas?” My friends and I looked at each other as the heavy set woman maliciously and very obviously rolled her eyes at us as we were debating on what to get. My girlfriend told the extremely rude woman, the crust maker I’m pretty sure, the type of pizza she wanted. The heavy set employee then proceeded to make it, but then said she was out of spinach….the pizza she ordered didn’t even come with pizza. When my girlfriend confronted the heavyset employee she said “my bad I meant the cilantro”. So my girlfriend settled with the basil recommendation from the heavy set employee. A couple minutes go by and again…the heavy set employee then said she was out of onions as well..so my girlfriend didn’t want the pizza anymore. The heavyset woman then proceeded to roll her eyes again and then one of the other employees I believe it was a white, fit male. He was apologizing, whilst the heavyset women was still being extremely rude and disrespectful, rolling her eyes and talking over my friends. As I’m sitting here writing this I hope the staff and management at Pieology have a training session or SOMETHINGS TO BETTER THEM SELF.

Love the idea and taste, as well as all the quotes on the walls. Wish the pricing was a little better but coupons from their loyalty program help.The person cooking the pizzas rotates of course, so I ask for mine not too well done. It has happened multiple times that the bottom is kind of burnt.

We arrived at 8:43 pm. With 1 person in line in front of us we ordered 4 pizzas. That process took til 9:13 pm. 30 minutes to order and prepare 4 pizzas is Ridiculous! They weren’t even cooked at this point! To top it off, They were out of most veggies (even though they’re open til 11:00pm) and were told by the employee they wouldn’t make more.Furthermore, the employee didn’t know the difference between spinach and cilantro! We finally got our pizzas at 9:30.I’m addition, we had also ordered a dessert pizza. They forgot to make it and put it in the oven so when we reminded them at 9:40 they finally made it and cooked it and we left at 9:53 with it. Oh, and they were out of chocolate chips for the dessert pizza.Last but not least, There were no straws available near the drink station. We had to ask. The ice tea was taken down over 2 hours before close.We love eating at Pieology simply because the freshness, service and expediency we’ve experienced in the past, We’ve eaten at the Escondido and Point Loma and Carlsbad and never had an experience like this. This is the second time we’ve eaten here at Balboa and had this bad of an experience. There are a lot of areas of opportunity for improvement at this location.

This is perfect if you are picky and want to create your own pizza with unlimited toppings. I had no shame when I added olive oil, garlic, and Alfredo as my base, topped with lots of cheese(multiple kinds) pepperoni, meatballs, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, Canadian bacon, spicy chicken, bacon, and sausage. They have multiple crusts to choose from and it is cooked in a brick oven so the taste is so much better than frozen pizza that Domino's or Pizza Hut sells. Highly highly recommend!

Love being able to completely customize your own personal size pizza with whatever you want. They have such great options of toppings. Pizza is prepared fresh and quickly right in front of you. Plus the staff is so nice!!

They were really slow, messed up an online order by putting it on the wrong crust, that’s the first item. They took and extra 10 minutes after I arrive to fix the mistake. No apology or compensation for the trouble. Customer service was a struggle

I visited this restaurant with a few friends for a quick bite. Lackadaisical service when taking our order, including us having to repeat ourselves multiple times for each stage of creating the pizzas. No receipt given, which is normally fine, since they take a name with an order, but when it was time for us to collect our finished pizzas, a few of us were questioned on whether or not the pizzas we were receiving were actually ours and we were asked to show receipts and then point out which employee completed the transaction for verification. Overall an annoying, questionable, and time-consuming experience for sub-par food made with little effort.

The dough is shaped by individuals who are there; so the thickness (I ordered thin crust the guy put the dough in shape and thickness as an English Muffin) the texture and the size is nothing like other locations. The bottom of the crust coming out of oven is just black for not cleaning it up and plus they gave my pizza to somebody else who ordered to go. I found out after waiting so long. The manager and the person who messed it up didn't apology at all just recommended me ro redo and rewait through line to make it again.

Industrial style dine in or out resturant with delicious fresh ingrediants for made to order pizzas. There staff isn't the greatest and they need to do better at having items prepped and readily available at all times as well as do better with communication among the employees infront of clients. But the food is delicious and I haven't had a problem with that thus far so ill continue enjoying my pizza there.
