Last of the old school watering holes in shelter island. Salty locals and good food and grog. We stumble here every Friday and we love it! I hope it never changes. Anyone contemplating visiting absolutely should!

Had an excellent breakfast here when visiting from Cleveland and staying on Shelter Island. Very reasonable prices, friendly staff, and great food. Highly recommended to anyone in the area.

Too good to give the full review, and best kept as a San Diego hidden gem...those who know, know, and those who don't, let's not share too much so we preserve the specialness of this place! Unbeatable fine dining menu at a locals price. Exceptional customer service - Jake delivered the highest quality care giving us a personalized experience. The homemade ranch is so good one could drink it, the ahi was seared to perfection over a bed of fried cabbage that pleasantly surprised- delicious! The crab cakes are by far the best in San Diego! The happy hour menu and hours are unbeatable, part of why this place should be known only for those who are meant to appreciate the unique experience of Point Break Cafe. As much as I want to rave about Point Break Cafe being the best hidden gem in San Diego, I hesitate to say too much and have it get ruined by the masses.

We were visiting the area for a get away from our Las Vegas heat. We stumbled into the Point Break which appeared to be a local's favorite. We originally went for lunch but returned for a breakfast and a dinner. Evey person that assisted us was pleasant, cheerful and very efficient. Thanks especially to our breakfast server who gifted us with chocolates when leaving. Certainly not the fanciest place we ate, but definitely good food and excellent service.
