Loved the food. The service was very kind but the wait time was horrific. We got there, they handed us the menus and 20 minutes go by until they ask us what we want to eat. They then took 20-30 more minutes to get the food to us. There wasnt really anyone in there either and staff kept passing by us when we were waiting to be asked what we want to eat. I honestly am always patient but it was ridiculous with the wait time.
I got the Acai Bowl and it tasted awesome.

What a nice resturant! The food was great, big portions. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because it was a about 20 minute wait for our food. So dont go in on a 30 minute lunch break. The service was great. The nicest bathroom I have ever seen for a public bathroom. We will be back❤️

Beginning in 2025, this café has declined. The menu changed drastically, removing fan favorite options and replacing ingredients in the holdover menu items. All prices increased by 35-55%! Hilton going green is probably the only positive thing but nearly everything has changed, smoothies now contain Greek yogurt and gone is the classic strawberry banana smoothie. No breakfast wraps are listed on the menu, no bakery items, etc. Some of the newer ingredients have a bad flavor, order with caution

If you're staying at the Double Tree this is the best place to get breakfast. Even if you're not this is a great place to eat. We had the make your own omelette and Crab Cake Benedict. Their hollandaise sauce is incredible, rich yet well balanced and not broken. The crab cake was so much crab, you definitely get your money's worth. I would put this in one of the top egg Benedicts I've had in my life. Food aside this was the best service I've had the entire 5 years I've lived in San Diego, Irene is an amazing human being and is so caring of her guests. She deserves so much credit for our experience and this review!

Point Loma Cafe is hands down one of the best spots in town for breakfast! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The place has a cozy, classic diner feel that makes you instantly comfortable. The breakfast menu is packed with delicious options for every taste. Whether you're craving fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, or crispy bacon, they’ve got it all.
I was especially impressed with how fresh and flavorful everything tasted. The portions are generous, and every bite feels like a homemade meal. Their coffee is strong and smooth—just what you need to start the day right. What really sets Point Loma Cafe apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you’re taken care of.
A huge shoutout to Irene, who made our morning absolutely delightful. Irene goes above and beyond to ensure her guests feel special. She greeted us with a big smile and checked on us throughout the meal. Her positive energy and attention to detail truly made the experience memorable. It’s clear she loves what she does, and it shows in her service.
Irene’s recommendations were spot on, especially the omelet bar, which was incredible. She made sure our coffee cups were always full and even gave us to-go cups without us asking. Little touches like that make a big difference. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely kind and professional. Irene is a true gem and makes the cafe shine even brighter.
If you’re in the area and love a great breakfast with top-notch service, don’t miss Point Loma Cafe. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Great service. Very professional. Breakfast burrito and home fries were good but nothing to brag home about. Just what I needed after a long night out on the town
