Point Loma Tea

Me and my two friends went here for tea. It was amazing. There were so many little things for sale to make your tea experience at home better. There was a big wall of loose tea to buy. The owner was very helpful and kind. She made our tea for us. One of my friends who was chasing a chai masala from Denver said the one she got here was almost the same. The experience was so good, we stopped for another tea before we left the area. I definitely recommend.

Such a cute shop! The tea selection is amazing and of good quality. I love that they have a tea bar and samples of tea, of you aren't sure of a selection. The owner was there when I went, and she was so knowledgeable and passionate about tea. She answered all of my questions and her descriptions were spot on. I will definitely be buying tea on a regular basis here.

We had the best experience finding new loose leaf teas at PLT! I am a high-anxiety person and do not do well in new environments where I need to communicate preferences (ie picking out new tea flavors!), but Maddy made the process absolutely wonderful. Not only was she incredibly sweet overall, but she was genuinely easy to communicate with. She even pulled out a few of her favorites for us to smell and proved me wrong when I said I didn't like certain things. I really felt like she heard and understood what we were saying/looking for. I wish so badly that we lived closer to make this our go-to spot for teas! They also brew hot/iced teas in-store if that's what you're looking for. 10/10 would recommend, and definitely ask for Maddy if you're an anxious human like me. If you see this: THANK YOU MADDY! I am not a fireball upon awakening. My awareness turns around immediately at first sip of Gojiberry and Green Flash teas. Heavenly!

Super friendly and helpful staff...actually took the time to explain the brewing/steeping process while making our drink. Very inviting/welcoming environment.An interesting selection of hot and cold drink options...reasonably priced in the $4-6 range.The store has lots of tea-making items including cups, spoons, steepers and...tea! They actually have a huge wall of a wide variety of teas...some interesting options including Butterbeer!I believe there is also a tea room you can reserve to host an event.

Delicious tea and excellent customer experience. Our first time they guided us through selecting which teas to try as someone new to loose leaf tea and when we ordered more online they even sent an extra sample packet. Definitely earned a loyal customer! Butterbeer with brown sugar is our favorite tea ever.

Small sample packs were a great idea. Well laid out and organized, staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of their stock.Seemed to be a fun group to hang out with, or maybe we just rocked the perfect timing.

10.29.2023: Visited California for my birthday and my boyfriend loves Honey from different states so we bought a 1.5oz Honey-Herbal infused mini (Wild Flower Honey-Plain). He has tasted it recently and says it tastes “really good”.

I was looking for something special for my Mom. This gave me options to pick a few things and get her a gift card so she can come back and choose her own too.....and of course I grabbed a little tea for myself to try too.

I love this tea shop! The staff are very nice and helpful. They sell pre made iced or hot tea and have a large selection of loose leaf teas for retail purchase. They have lots of accessories too!
