this experience was unacceptable. My friend and I were completely ignored after being seated. We waited over 25 minutes without anyone acknowledging us—not even a glass of water. We politely tried to get the staff’s attention multiple times, but they just walked around chatting and continued to ignore us. It felt like we were invisible. We eventually left without ever being helped. Extremely disappointing service—I won’t be coming back.

Super cute place and extensive drink menu. Drinks were really good! But did feel it was kinda strange there was lemon peel in the old fashioned instead of orange peel. Didn’t taste as good with that pairing. It was a Sunday night and not too crowded, but we sat at the bar and the bartenders mostly ignore that the customers exist. Took an hour for us to get a drink. And had to ask 2 bartenders for a glass of water 4 times over the course of like 2 hours before finally getting a warm glass of water. We did notice that many of the customers were having the same issue. Idk if they’re always like that, but a little rough for sure. And bathroom was kinda a mess with no toilet paper and a broken mirror.

For a place that wasn't that busy, I sure had a hard time being acknowledged and waited on. I had to clean my own table, and literally, after 25 minutes, I was forced to get up and grab the waiters attention after being passed up by him several times. The staff couldn't care less that there were open tables with dirty dishes and broken glass just sitting there the whole time I was dining. The lack of enthusiasm and just basic service made me never want to come back.

This place should not be called Polite Provisions because both the host and server we had were incredibly rude. Being immediately carded before entering the building was whatever, we were then told to sit wherever and handed a menu. There were about five dirty tables so we chose one outside and cleaned it ourselves. Our table and the ones around it were all wobbly and need to be fixed, with one having a piece of tape on the underside that said “Fix me!!” After waiting about 15 minutes and never being greeted, I decided to order food from next door. Twenty minutes later I go to pick up the food and come back to see my partner standing and waiting to flag down the server. The young man seemed very uninterested and bored, never apologizing for how long it took. It wasn’t busy but the tables around us remained dirty our entire dining experience. I love the CH restaurant group and was really excited to try Polite Provisions but was terribly disappointed. At this price point, you expect at least adequate service…and, I don’t know, maybe polite service from a place called Polite Provisions. Y’all need to get your shit together or hire new management.

Popped in for a couple of cocktails while on a work trip. It did not disappoint. Gorgeous bar, great staff, wonderful drinks. I am not saying I am planning on moving to San Diego because of this bar, but it definitely would be a mark on the positive column if I had to move there.

I tried the dumplings and wings. The dumplings were good and the wings were ok. Had a very crumbley batter. The food was served on plastic platters but with the heat of the wings it almost smelled like melted plastic. The drinks were good and the service too
