Great spot with tasty cocktails. I requested an off menu cocktail “Carter Beats The Devil” and the bartender handled it like a champ. Then recommended something of his own which was delicious. Definitely a craft cocktail spot and will be back.

This is a staple of my SD visits because since 2016 I’ve only ever had lovely experiences. This time, our bartender Dakota and the rest of the team went above and beyond to take amazing care of our larger group, even going so far as to help us get a table at the next bar we wanted to check out. Our friends can be hard to please but everyone was so impressed with the ambiance, drinks, and hospitality. There’s also really nothing better than being able to grab some General Tsos from next door as soon as you get to the ideal level of tipsy-hungry. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Polite Provisions exudes a cool atmosphere while specializing in craft cocktails. The cocktails were delicious but we were a bit disappointed with the service we received - they could have made the experience much more enjoyable with a little bit of friendliness. We noticed others experiencing the same at tables around us. Overall we enjoyed ourselves but I can’t give five stars because of service. TIP: There is no parking lot so be prepared to search for street parking in the surrounding neighborhood or, if you plan to drink a lot, take a ride share.

Great vibes. Such a beautiful place. Tried the Princess Peach Daiquiri and the Painless Killer. Both delicious and beautifully presented. Great bar and lighting and seating. Very ambient. A cute date spot.Drinks are kind of pricy but not unexpected.

This used to be a favorite spot but things aren’t the same. I go before it gets too busy for better service and experience but for some reason today I’m ignored. First I’m told to have a seat they’ll be with me which was a lie, then after I make an order the guy walks off outside for a while, I try to make a a small change in their house favorites, only to find out they don’t make em to order but premade so they won’t do any changes. This used to be a place where people strived to make a crafted cocktail and serve without bias or issue, and now it’s not that at all. Idk if it’s just a bad day or if this is what I should expect from now on.

Customer service is a no-go.There are over 30 tap handles and they only offer around 5 beers. Price point is excessive. I think the drinks were $12-$15. Not a friendly or inviting place. I gave 2 stars because the ambiance is nice, but Definitely not worth it.

Definitely racist! Turned one of our black friends down for not having a valid (expired but had the extension in hand) ID and then let in the four white girls after us that were clearly underage without even checking ID and even winked at them. Then we were told to bring the paper extension from the dmv, went to go get that, came back, and still conveniently got turned down because it was "misinformation" after we waited the first time for manager approval. Then after that we were told "You can try your act at another bar" insinuating that we had fakes... Also as we waited outside to look up a new spot for our hangout, we saw them let in multiple other people who were younger looking than us in without batting an eyeball or checking id again. I totally understand that you're trying to protect your license and your small company, but after seeing who they chose to id / let in it because clear that the id was not the problem, which is what was upsetting.At every single other bar we hopped at, either no one batted an eye or they actually scanned the ID which prompts the extension which was verified. Or they had the light thing that shows you if it's real or not. Didn't have problems anywhere else. (Probably because they didn't automatically assume some younger people of color were automatically criminals lol)Wasn't going to ditch our friend and support a racist place that apparently has terrible drinks anyway. Bummer, it seemed nice and cute.

Trendy bar to grab some cocktails, I wasn’t overly impressed with the craftsmanship of the drinks or the attitude of the bartenders. But overall it’s still a cool place to stop and and grab a drink, can be hard to find a seat depending on when you go.
