Ikra Badrijannaya

Borscht Soup
Deep reddish-purple beetroot soup with beef simmered for hours to produce culinary magic. Served hot with a dollop of sour cream at your pleasure.

Main
Golubtsi
Village-style cabbage rolls filled with a ground meat (beef and pork) and herbs mixture. Is is common to the cuisines of Central, Northern and Eastern Europe.
Chakhokhbili
Georgian eagle. Traditional Georgian dish of stewed chicken with fresh herbs. This aromatic dish will make your mouth water. Try a glass of young red wine with it and you will fly like an eagle.
Beef Stroganoff
Sauteed pieced of grass fed beef served in a sauce with smetana (sour cream). Served with rotini pasta or mashed potatoes. Try this indulgent, yet restrained marvel. Russia's claim to fame.
Vegetarian Stroganoff
Creamy mushroom sauce, onions, garlic, mustard, white wine. Served over noodles.
Chakapuli
A celebration of spring in your heart. Lamb, onions, tarragon, wine, and plum sauce. Should any be left over, it is best on the second day, or on the seventh day when God created Georgia.
Kotleti
Pan fried ground chicken patties.

Babushka's Surprise
Vegetarian. Baked apple filled with dried fruits, walnuts and honey.
Medovik Torte
Vegetarian. Russian traditional honey cake. Escape with this sinful retreat.

This is not a Georgian restaurant as we thought, they just have some georgian dishes. Decor is like an old bar. With lots of hand written notes on the walls left by customers. It would be a neat thing to have, if there weren't so many nasty phrases left in Russian and Ukrainian. Overall food is good

One of the best restaurants in San Diego. I recommend the salad sampler platter, borscht, the cheese egg bread thing, and the stroganoff!

Parking: Parking is impossible like much of North Park

You know why I came. I came for Adjaruli khachapuri. I’ve had it in NYC (2011,2012,2019) Toronto (2024), and here. This one was so fresh and the bread so fluffy. Too good for my existence
