Delicious food and great service. Our group enjoyed the calamari, mushroom ravioli, linguine di mare, and pork ossobuco. Added bonus, the restaurant celebrated our birthday guest with a complimentary slice of tiramisu. Best we've ever had!
Great place, good food good drink's we went two weeks in a row I loved the Spritz one of the times . The lasagna was excellent. The other time we took our grandson and his girlfriend. I can't remember what they ordered, but they didn't really like it. Actually I can't remember what we ordered but believe me it was good or we wouldn't have gone back the second week it's a fun place to go.
Great food (we love the orrechieti with sausage & broccoli rabe), great attentive (but not obsequious) service, and wine selections by the glass. Pomodoro is one of our neighborhood favorites, and look forward to returning. FYI, it is generally busy and just showing up may not be the best way to have a wonderful meal there. Best to make a reservation; ideally, as we did, through OpenTable. Easy Peasy. Delicious food at a reasonable price, with great service. Tutti bene! ATBster
We had a really enjoyable experience at Pomodoro. Our meals were outstanding. I had the pollo gusto and it may have been the best chicken I've ever had in San Diego. My husband had the cioppino and he said it was prepared perfectly. The service was excellent. Each staff member was kind and professional. The vibe in the restaurant is comfortable and low key. We loved it!
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere on the patio was lively. We had a large group of twelve, and the we were able to order and receive our drinks, appetizers, and main course dishes without a wait. Our waiter had great recommendations for the specialties of the restaurant, and I have to say, the desserts were so good! I highly recommend Pomodoro if you are anywhere near the Point Loma area!
Pomodoro is my favorite restaurant in San Diego. I always, always come here when I visit from Virginia (2-3x a year) and bring friends and co-workers to introduce them to this local's gem. It's a small, family-run Italian restaurant with amazing food, ingredients, and service. I have been coming here for over ten years and I am never disappointed. I've been at various times of day, week, year, and it's always consistent and delicious. My favorite is the bolognese, caesar salad, and tiramisu. Noms. In a charming part of town where you can take a walk and get a few desserts or other things while here. Parking is street for free and never a problem along the block.
We were a little worried at the first sight of the building but that’s part of what made this establishment special. The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and engaging and the pricing was very reasonable.
On the way out we noticed a table getting tiramisu and asked for one to go. They gave it to us and refused payment as we had already settled the bill.
Fantastic!

Food was very good, really enjoyed the veal. But what put a damper on our experience they crammed a party of five next to us at table for four. The person at that table's back was hitting our table. Not very enjoyable when you have people sitting on top you. The manager was told by the server that we were not happy about the sitting arraignment and he did not even come over to apologize, mainly because it was his ideal to cram those people into that space. I had to move our table to get my wife out of her seat for us to leave.
You are short-changing yourself if you haven't been here yet. Do it. Now.

I recently dined at Pomodoro, a charming Italian restaurant in Point Loma, and was thoroughly impressed by the experience.
The highlight of our evening was the exceptional service provided by Assistant Manager Paul I. His professionalism and genuine care for our dining experience was remarkable. His commitment to customer satisfaction was truly impressive, so, I felt compelled to share my admiration with the owner.
Equally noteworthy was our waitress, Sophia. Her warm demeanor and attentive service complemented the delightful meal, making the evening even more enjoyable. The food at Pomodoro was top-notch, enhancing an already fantastic dining experience.
What’s more, this gem of a restaurant is just a short walk from my home, adding to my appreciation of the place. With such outstanding service and delicious food, Pomodoro has certainly won me over. Kudos to the team for creating such a memorable dining experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Thank you,

We love the neighborhood restaurant vibe at Pomodoro. They provide healthy portions with great service. I recommend the Osso Buco, which had a ample portion of meat with great flavor.

This is a charming spot for an Italian dinner. The ambiance is cozy yet lively, and the food is consistently very good. And the prices are what I would call reasonable these days. This is one of our top Italian restaurants in San Diego.
