Pomodoro Ristorante Italiano

We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Service was friendly and professional. Ossobuco was excellent. I have never been disappointed here.

Food is good. Try not to sit where the kitchen is, can get smokey and you can also see into the men's bathroom going in and out.

This was mine and my husbands anniversary dinner. We were recommended the place and it looked great! But the experience was so ridiculous we thought we were being PUNK'D. How could it have been such chaos?! Luckily we had a good laugh about it. It started with the lights being so bright that I felt like I was being grilled by the cops. I asked them to be turned down which they obliged (server was great!) but what we weren't told was if they were set at a lower level they would start randomly strobing. Like if anyone had epilepsy this would have been bad. The bread came out cold, dry, and with a hole in the middle? My husband ordered the pesto which we thought was odd had green brands and potatoes in it but he was feeling adventurous. The pasta was not edible and the sauce was more of a lemon sauce with pine nuts on top? So bad. I got the Dobson which the meat was cooked perfectly but the sauce was thick and the rice (Italian?!) was so soggy. We barely touched our food, paid, and left. At least we have a story we will laugh about and never forget?? We did go to Italy this year so maybe if we hadn't been and never eaten at any other restaurant in our lives we would have enjoyed it. Hands down one of the worst dining experiences of both our lives.

We come to Pomodoro every time we're in town. We always have a great meal. Service is consistent. Always a nice evening!

We haven't been for a while and we forgot how good everything is. We will put Pomodoro back in our regular rotation. Absolutely delicious!

Best Italian food in town, great see and pleasant atmosphere.

The food was delicious had the filet and it was melt in your mouth. Loved the location was a safe walking distance from Humphreys where we were staying. Reasonable prices on food and wine. Service was impeccable!

Absolutely delicious! Great spot with a nice relaxed feel. We had appetizers, pasta and main. Everything was perfect! Highly recommend. We will be back.

Love Pomodoro! Food is always delicious. The service is great. You feel like you're in someone's home eating dinner with them. It can be quite loud, which is perfect if you have a screaming toddler.

We made a stop on a whim the last time we were in San Diego and my wife would not stop talking about it so wee we came back and it was just as good as we remember. This is going to be a required stop any time we visit.

Went here with the family. My daughter chose this place to take me and my mother for our birthdays. I had spaghetti and meatballs and it was very good. I also tried my mom’s Capellini Mari E Monti and it was amazing. Couldn’t stay out of her plate. Wife had mushroom ravioli and daughter had Ravioli di ricotta and they both loved their selections also. They also gave us two birthday tiramisu’s, which was delicious. My wife and I will definitely be back. Friendly staff
