The place is really fun, but the owner/primary worker/only other person there is really quite rude and overly course. I can understand now why she has trouble keeping workers there.

Cider was fine, but the owner / bartender gave the impression we were trespassing. I'm not sure how you can make money this way ... Perhaps it was because we had a well behaved 6 year old that just wanted to play board games while we tried a cider. That is what's advertised after all, dog friendly, family friendly.I mentioned I was looking around and I was told to stay in customer area, as if I was going to jump over the ropes or something. Just felt unwelcome... too many other options. Don't bring kids, obviously not welcome despite their advertising.
Went here to try out the ciders with my wife. We went on Father’s Day and it was empty. The owner explained so much to us. I really like the fact that everything is much lower in carbs than traditional ciders. I really liked the smokiness in the Mongolian oak barrel ciders. Definitely will be back

They don't sell food. The cidery is dedicated to dog rescue and all the profits go directly to a local rescue. The ciders are low in sugar, diabetic friendly, and gluten free! Sit at the bar and let Mary entertain you! She's awesome!

Best cider this side of the Mississippi… and I know cider.
Cool spot…dog friendly…nice service. Unfortunately, the ciders are awful.

What a wonderful inviting experience. Mary and Tippy are welcoming and love all the art. Felt like I was visiting a friend rather than a business. I highly recommend this local Cidery as an excellent neighborhood hangout. Brought my four legged children, so happy to enjoy an establishment that welcomes dogs!!!!I will be back!!!!!
This is hands down my favorite place in San Diego. The owner welcomed us with open arms, even having a young daughter accompanying us, which can be so rare no and days. Besides the amazing atmosphere, cool environment, and exceptionally clean place, the ciders are second to none. My husband and I have tried cider places all across the country and nothing is as good as Poochie’s cider. There’s a flavor for whatever you might have a hankering for. Mary is truly a master of the craft and I would highly recommend this place to any and everyone.
