Here alone but drinks, coffee and a latte and very good, I went in for the view and the structure of the place, since it looked very cool, good view, excellent weather and very attentive, everything clean and it was not crowded, I went on Wednesday at noon.

Definitely not actually a covered/enclosed seating area. Not a good place to study--you're going to get ocean spray, rain, etc.
Also there's always cops hanging out in the lobby.

This place felt like the epitome of a tourist trap. I ordered a large iced tea and was directed to a self-serve beverage station around the corner. While awkward bc I left a tip, the tea dispenser was not well-maintained—the cover was only half on, which made me feel uncomfortable drinking from it.
I returned to the register to explain the situation, and the staff were kind enough to offer me an iced coffee instead. Unfortunately, the coffee—likely a cold brew—was incredibly bitter and unpleasant. I would rather drink the coffee offered on bored the old aircraft carrier I used to serve on.
Overall, while the staff were courteous, the experience left much to be desired. The upkeep of the beverage station and the quality of drinks need significant improvement.

Nice local coffee shop along the water! Order at the window and be on your way to explore the area. The cheapest coffee and chai we found in the Bay area!

I visited Portside Coffee & Gelato on December 2nd at 10 AM. I ordered a coffee, breakfast burrito, and croissandwich. The food was excellent, and the patio offered a lovely view that made for a pleasant time. However, the attitudes of both the cashier and the barista preparing the drinks were terrible. This experience left me feeling like I never want to return to this place. If you want to avoid an unpleasant experience, I recommend going elsewhere.

We received great service, ordered two chai latte, but upon payment, my card would not go through. We tried my kids’ passes as well, but no luck. We were prepared to walk away with no chai, but the friendly girl that served us told us we could pick up our drinks at the next window, without payment. We were so surprised- and very happy. We really did look forward to those chai. They were delicious 😋. After meeting up with my husband an hour or so later, we returned to pay for the drinks. But were met by another very friendly member of staff who told us the manager, who had served us earlier, wanted to treat us and it was their pleasure. I think this is pretty rear and deserves a big warm thank you❤️
