We had no problem getting a table just service. Miguel's restaurant was not so busy and it didn't seem that they were short staffed cause I think there were more employees standing conversing with each other than customers seated. I worked in customer service business for 38 years and as a local person I sure would want the tourists that ate at my restaurant to go back home with a memory of the food and great customer service they had.in San Diego.Parking: There's a lot of renovations happening down at the harbor so you can find yourself driving around looking for a metered parking spot and disabled parking are limited.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room for a wheelchair. I had no problem using my walker.

Excellent service, friendly and attentive even through rush. Gorgeous view and reasonably elegant layout, but kinda loud. The food though... my wife and her friend enjoyed the oysters. I got grilled fish tacos. My fish was cooked dry and slathered in an overwhelming amount of dairy. Once I scraped off the cheese and most of the ranch dressing it was otherwise ok. My wife and her friend had a tuna bowl. The tuna was covered with some overpowering Cajun spice mix. Which is unfortunate since otherwise it was an excellent piece of fish with a well executed sear. My son had the kids noodles with butter, he ate most of it and didn't complain. Their drink menu features an old fashioned which doesn't include orgeat, even though they have it at their bar and is made of rye, not bourbon. No words.

Last night was the second time this week I took friends visiting SD to dinner at Brigantine. I have so many favorites that it's hard to decide what to order. Last night we shared the shrimp and crab dip and we all enjoyed it. I ordered the Louie salad and took half home since it is a large portion. My friends both ordered the seared ahi tuna entree and they really liked it. Our server was attentive and professional as most are at this restaurant. The noise level was better than usual since it was a rainy night and the restaurant wasn't full. I am fortunate to live just 2 blocks away from Portside Pier.
We had such a great experience at Brigantine! Omar was our waiter and he was top notch. Ordered the swordfish and fish tacos! Both were amazing and great portion sizes! Also had a couple margaritas, the coconut macadamia fried shrimp and baked oysters! We were so happy with all of our choices! Would definitely recommend and would go back!

Decided on a nice view with dinner tonight and heard Brigantine was a place for that. I must say, the view didn't disappoint. The Inside = Beautiful, spacious, and warmly lit. There is indoor, outdoor, and upstairs seating available. We sat outside and the view of the water was amazing. The Service = Friendly The Food = Good. On this food excursion... Crab and Shrimp Fondue = Not really a fondue but rather a hot creamy dip/spread. Though it was tasty, I was not able to taste the crab and shrimp as the cream cheese overpowered them. Don't get me wrong, I still tore it up :) Wok Seared Tuna = The tuna was cooked well and served with veggies and Jasmine rice. The tuna in my opinion was overly spiced and I lost the delicate flavor of the tuna. The rice was over cooked and a tad mushy. Seared Scallops = nicely seared, delicately sweet, and tasty. However, the potato purée with truffle fell just a bit short. Couldn't taste any truffle essence. Would I recommend? Yep! Will I be back? Yep! Welp! into the next!

I felt the server rushed the meal which was delicious, I was still eating my main meal when we were asked for our dessert choices. Because our server was moving so fast, coffee was spilt on the table and on my husband. While I felt for the server, because this is never fun and it was an accident, there was little care about us as consumers. We do enjoy the Brigantine Portside and will come again.

We went there for our anniversary a few years ago. We made a reservation and requested a patio seating, since it was for our 13 year anniversary. When we arrived, they seated us inside with a long, big, oblong table, where they can seat different groups of people with us. When we mentioned we reserved for a patio, they had to go back and check to see if there was an availability. They finally seated us outside, but there was no recognition about anniversary. The server was so slow she never came back other than taking our order and delivering food. We were there off rush hours and they were not busy. Now, let's talk about the food quality. I ordered calamari, which was way overcooked and rubbery. I could also tell they were frozen which they just heated. I've seen the exact same calamari at California Fish Grill and some other places. Why is it so hard to find places nowadays with real good, homemade food with authentic service around here? We would never, ever go back.

We made reservations for 5:45pm, restaurant was empty. Requested a table on the terrace with a nice view . Were sat in a table in the middle of the table, no view while the entire patio was practically empty. Food was good so we were happy overall.
