this is the bestttt pozole i swear by it when im sick!! the red pozole with pork is the best. last time i went they only had chicken but honestly im okay with that. they only take cash, or at least they did last time (other times someone bought it for me). very flavorful, full of hominy and meat whereas others can be mostly broth. the workers are very nice and always throw in a lotttt of sides. last time they gave me a whole box of fried potato-filled tortillas (not sure the name of that dish) and the time before that they gave us a giant tray of mix-ins.

I do not recommend this place to anyone, the pozole is very bad, the place is very dirty, it is a very anti-Jenic place, so if you eat there is certain diarrhea, it is good to cleanse your belly.
Bad service the food was reheated from two days ago. They are always closed , homeless are near the property I would not recommend this place to any one.

The staff here is extremely friendly, and the food here is out of this world!!
Top pozole spot in San Diego. I grew up eating pozole rojo, this place carries it AND it’s well seasoned. You’d be surprised how challenging it is to find good tasting Mexican food, especially when 1st Gens still remember Como cocinaba la abuelita!!!
This place it a a hole in the wall and it's a bit intimidating but I ordered the pozole verde as I was searching for a good place and I found it near my home. The pozole verde was sooo delicious that I'm hooked and will try other things it was good and the guy there was so nice he even gave me a discount as they didn't take debit card so BRING CASH and I had to go to an ATM but it was worth it. I will be returning and going to tell my friends and family.

Authentic Mexican Delights!I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful little Mexican restaurant that specializes in delicious pozoles and other traditional dishes. If you're in search of a place that offers authentic flavors and a cozy, homely ambiance, this is the spot for you!The first thing that struck me about this place was the incredibly tasty soups they serve. The pozoles were simply outstanding, bursting with rich flavors and hearty ingredients. Each spoonful was a delightful experience for my taste buds. It's clear that they take great pride in their culinary creations. The restaurant itself exudes a charming, small-town feel that immediately makes you feel at home. From the moment I walked in, the friendly staff greeted me warmly, providing exceptional service throughout my visit. It was refreshing to have a casual and easygoing atmosphere where I could easily strike up conversations with the staff and fellow diners. One of the highlights of dining here is the personal touch of the owner. He goes above and beyond to make every guest feel like part of the family. His warm and welcoming nature creates a sense of comfort and familiarity that is hard to find elsewhere. It's a refreshing change from the impersonal nature of many modern eateries. The traditional ordering system adds to the charm of the place. You simply walk in and place your order, just like you would when telling your mom what you want to eat. It's a nostalgic experience that takes you back to a simpler time. Do keep in mind that they only accept cash, so make sure to have some on hand. When it comes to portions, be prepared for generous servings! Each soup comes with a delightful tray of fried goodies like flautas, chicharrones, chips, salsa, and more. It's a delightful accompaniment that adds an extra layer of flavor and variety to your meal. You definitely won't leave here hungry! In conclusion, this hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The delicious soups, friendly service, and old-school charm make it a truly special dining experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this place will make you feel right at home. So, grab some cash, step in, and prepare yourself for a delightful culinary journey that will leave you wanting more.
