We went for lunch during restaurant week. The food was really good and plentiful portions. The ambiance and service were super. Kara took good care of us. It was a lovely outing. HOWEVER...Restaurants are adding a "Supplemental Fee" for "Rising costs." Prado added 5%. Here's the part that really gets me panties in a bunch...Sales tax was added on the Supplemental Fee!!! We are always happy with dining at Prado. Unfortunately, we will probably not dine as often when Balboa Park start charging for parking. We are NOT happy about that because the park, overall, is a destination we have always loved to visit. We are now retired and are on a fixed income and it just makes more sense to dine somewhere where parking is free and/or A LOT less expensive. The whole evening was top notch, from the attentive server to the delicious food to the above and beyond sweet treat for our anniversary. Our server was great, he always made sure we had what we needed one step ahead.
