Wonderful patio seating on a beautiful San Diego day, excellent service. Overall, a very good experience.

This restaurant is located in an unbelievably beautiful location, Balboa Park. We sat outdoors, a very romantic spot. The food was very good! Can't think of a better place to spend the evening.

We had the best service experience. We had our pups with us and they were very accommodating.

This is a beautiful restaurant with excellent, friendly service. The grilled cauliflower, vegetarian black bean soup, red & gold baby beet salad, farmer's mixed greens salad and pappardelle primavera were all outstanding. We will definitely dine here again.

Nice place. Took a few minutes to get going. Had Mahi Sandwich at lunch. Fish was dry.:(( Fries were good.

Neither my husband nor I have ever been to Balboa Park. We came to San Diego for a wedding but made an extended weekend out of it because it was also my birthday. I had requested seating outside on their patio because the photos on the website looked fabulous. Unfortunately, I received a message from the manager saying my reservation would be moved to a table indoors because they were slow and would be sending some employees home. I kept our reservations and I am glad we did. The Prado's atmosphere feels rich in history even though the structure had to be reconstructed in the 1990's due to architectural damage. It's got great vibes and our waitress was fabulous (but I don't remember her name). My husband and I both had the pan seared chilean sea bass. It was amazing! It was served on top of a corn puree with pancetta, asparagus, spinach, and shaved fennel. There were at least two other patrons celebrating birthdays that night and our waitress served us each a complimentary dessert which was a vanilla marshmallow flan. It was smooth, flavorful and delightful! I highly recommend The Prado and I will definitely be back.

We came here in a Saturday night for dinner before a theatre show only 5 mins walk away as an early birthday celebration. The ambiance has the old Mediterranean decor and is warm toned. The service is attentive and we shared appetizers, salad and main course. We were pleasantly surprised with a birthday flan which was much appreciated along with a card which was a sweet touch. I would definitely return here again for dinner.

Need to get rid of the 5% extra charge... just add it to the prices...beautiful restaurant but food was not great

This was my first time back at Prado since 2022 and it was great— service, food, ambiance. I look forward to returning.

Ordered and enjoyably consumed the tortilla soup along with the fish tacos. Would have had plenty with the tacos, but when I heard the soup was WITHOUT chicken, I had to try it. It did not fail, and was delicious. Both excellent in presentation and taste.

We loved the Prado!! The food was amazing especially their steaks and meats. Everything from our appetizers to the main course was flavorful and delicious. Additionally, the ambience was great - the scenery overlooking the park, the sounds of different musicians and chatter, and the vibrant decor made the meal more enjoyable! We loved coming here and can't wait to eat here again when we visit :)

Great fish tacos after a long day at the zoo with efficient and good service. Beautiful ambiance on the patio. Quick walk from the zoo and anything in Balboa Park.

We were seated on the outdoor patio as we requested. We all ordered the Birria Torta sand which. It came with French fries. The sandwich was delicious and we all ate one half and took the other half home. Our server was great, We all left happy with our choice to have lunch at the Prado.

Food and service were wonderful as always! Great place to go for an evening out or special occasion.

We had a lovely evening meal as we have over the years at Prado. This evening was made even more wonderful by Umberto or Beto. He was attentive without being intrusive and very gracious and extremely helpful. He was wonderful!! Kudos to the Cohn group for hiring & keeping staff like Beto.
