There were 3 of us for a late lunch. 2 on our party thought the food was great however I was very underwhelmed so this review is just based on my experience.
I had the fish tacos and not sure what kind of fish they served but it wasn't great, was overcooked and therefore had a rubbery texture. All of my food (tacos rice and beans) were so bland that I would never consider these to have a bold Mexican inspired flavor I had anticipated. The chips were nicely seasoned but we're not fresh. The salsas I do have to say were great. I was happy to see my favorite beer on tap (dos xx amber) but unfortunately it wasn't ice cold and it woulld have been preferable to have been served in a frosted glass which it wasn't.
We split a curry ice cream for dessert and I have to say that this was excellent!!!
Service was excellent. Our server was welcoming friendly and attentive
Atmosphere: The decor and atmosphere are beautiful. The patio area is wonderful. On the Inside seating they only have the tall table and chairs so be aware of this if you don't like the tall chairs. There is an upstairs patio but it's only open on Friday and Saturday nights.

Solid attempt at upscale Mexican restaurant in Pacific Beach. Lots of beautiful glass and colors everywhere could not make up for mid food. Shrimp tacos were overcooked. The chili relleno del mar had NO batter, the poblano was basically raw and the relleno (stuffing) had barely any seafood in it. The best thing on the plate was the refried beans. And of course, we were still in PB on a Friday night, so there was the over served drunk guy vomiting at the bottom of the stairs while the staff all ran and hid, leaving the mess long enough for someone to slip and fall in it (good thing the poor woman was also over served, as she re-emerged from the bathroom down a layer of clothing and sporting a new icepack and I guess a funny story). Thoroughly disgusting and a reminder of why we don't go to PB. Definitely needs a reinvigorated management and kitchen approach and to learn a thing or two from Disney's Fluid Team.

Modern restaurant, we placed a pick up order. Originally hand octopus tacos ordered, but they had recently changed their menu. So, when we arrived to pick up, they recommended the softshell crab tacos (new item). We enjoyed those and the short rib plate. Great customer service.

Terrible Terrible overpriced tacos. Had carne asada taco, it was the worst tacos I had. Terrible meat, service was slow even though hardly no one there. Couldn't get the bad meat taste out. Cheap meat. horrible tacos. Better off buying Mexican food from ANY local taco truck. Last time ill eat there.

What an incredible find! The extensive menu can please anyone, including vegan and vegetarian. I
had the seafood enchiladas which was super delicious along with guacamole and chips. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The menu prices were also very reasonable. I’ll be back!

Copy pasted from my yelp review! We want everyone to know My family of 7 were in town for a whole week on vacation and we went to atleast 2 different restaurants a day and out of 14 + restaurants we dined at, Peter was the by far the most amazing waiter we had the whole trip! Just the second he walked up to the table saying Welcome to Pueblo to saying Thank You for choosing Pueblo to us as we walked out the door. He recommended the best drinks and food from the menu which he knew with no hesitation and to the T for flavors and textures with such detailed descriptions. Peter was also very funny , respectful, and as my Mom said multiple times, has very nice hair! Pueblo you better not lose Peter! Next time we are in town we are only dining at Pueblo if Peter is still there! Drink the spicy Pineapple coconut drink and the pomegranate drink upgraded with casamigos that Peter recommends. You wont be able to have just 1! And eat everything!

The guacamole was good and the staff was friendly - that's about where the compliments end for my experience at Pueblo. My partner and I came in for a relaxed Saturday evening dinner and the food and entire experience was generally a let down.

I ordered the carne asada with shrimps - a $30+ entree and the meal was under seasoned, bland, overcooked, meat full of gristle and there wasn't one component of the dish that I enjoyed.

What's even more shocking it that when I calmly brought it to the attention of staff and sent the entire dish back to the kitchen the dish wasn't removed from our check. There was no attempt to address the complaint besides our server coming by after the fact saying "I don't recommend that dish."

I left Pueblo feeling hungry and unsatisfied.

We were in town for a conference and this restaurant was suggested to us. The atmosphere is very modern and vibrant and more importantly, the food at Pueblo is amazing! We had the special lobster dish and it was just delicious! The lobster was cooked perfectly and came with tortillas, rice, refried beans and guacamole. It was accompanied by a tasty jalapeño flavored butter. The price was reasonable and the service was pretty good although the server did seem a little overwhelmed at times so service was slow but not bad. Overall, a great restaurant that is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Atmosphere here was low key, but perfect. Very nice. Drinks were very tasty and there was tremendous choice! The food menu contained a wide variety whether you were wanting traditional Mexican fare or more tex-mex options. All six of us left very satisfied with our choices! I found a Ceasar salad with avacados, shrimp, and a spicy oil dressing that was extremely unique. Prices were moderate, and appreciated. I would definitely return! Service was exceptional. The chips and salsa served were the most unique I've eaten anywhere in the US!! Maybe that alone worth returning for.

Nice Mexican fusion cuisine in Pacific Beach Area. We all had strong drinks. Braised Short Rib Empanadas tasted as well as they looked. Had the Chicken Enchiladas with Mole sauce. Although it was good the corn tortillas slightly overpowered the mole sauce. Also had chicken tacos and Chile releno mix. Service was fast and good. Seems like they allow dogs in the outside area.
