We love Puesto but it is getting to be too expensive. The portions last night seemed very small compared to the past, especially the bowl of guacamole at $14 and rice for $5. Our small rice bowl was only filled about 1/3 of the way up. Please consider keeping prices reasonable and portions appropriate. Thank you.

Puesto was a decent Mexican Restaurant, but avg if you factor what San Diego as a whole has to offer. It is definitely a more modern mexican experience and higher end as it relates to cost. The food was spicy, even though the server said it was not. The drinks were good and strong so that was at least worth the expense. The menu was limited in my opinion and could offer more traditional options like fajitas. The tacos a la carte were on the expensive side and to get 3 you're looking at $30. I probably would go back for the bar experience and maybe appetizer but i probably will not go back if i want a dinner experience as there are better options in San diego.

Fabulous experience from reservation to our meal and celebration! So easy on Open Table! Puesto is just out of this world fantastic!! Great ambiance and even better food! This was my 4th or 5th visit and I will most certainly be back!

Carlos, our server took fantastic care of us. We tried a desert that will be soon added to the menu....it was really good. Can't say enough about the great food quality and service provided by everyone consistently every time!

Service was great from the check in to the table and throughout the meal. Friendly and attentive. The food was VERY expensive, although some of it was very tasty. Still trying to wrap my mind around how Guacamole can cost $14 and a single taco between $9-$12. I want to assume the quality of the ingredients and high cost of labor is driving the price, but I'm not so sure three people eating taco's with only 1 margarita in our group should get a bill for $130. That was during taco "happy hour" too. We tried different tacos and a couple were excellent, a couple were a little dry and a couple were not so good. My fish taco did not taste fresh to me and I took one bite and left it on the plate. Server did not seem to notice or ask about it when he picked up my plate and I did not care to point it out since I did not feel like complaining in front of my guests. Not gonna rush back for seconds, but mostly due to the price.

I love the filet mignon tacos. But this time the potato rolled tacos were meh. The service is always good. However last night we got two sides and two horchatas and it was $70 with the tip. It's just crazy I'm sure the staff doesn't see most of that money either. The quality of food has seemed to go down as fast as the prices went up. Sad.

Waited (older Hispanic)was really attentive and helpful. Even was very friendly to my daughters and scheduled to make sure we were enjoying all the food. My eldest is autistic and he made sure her quesadillas and side orders didn't touch as she's picky with that.

Food was great, service was good and we had our server switch out to a new one and our new server was even more on top of things checking on us if we needed anything and even made recommendations for dessert.

Julian, our server, was very attentive, gave great recommendations for the table and kept us updated on food timing. The atmosphere was busy but not overly crowded. It felt like a cool place to be on a Saturday night. The drinks were spot on and the food was amazing, truly worth every penny!

We had the best waiter, Carlos, and we got to try a lot of different tacos. We got chips and salsa, my daughter got a mock tail, I had a Paloma. At Carlos's recommendation. We tried Al pastor, carnitas, filet mignon, and the mushroom tacos. I really liked the mushroom taco. Was a surprise, then the filet mignon. Our waiter surprised us with his favorite dessert and we just really had a wonderful time. Just happened to be close to our hotel, so glad we stopped by.

First off, if you come here to count pennies don't come in. But you can't put a price on this type of quality it speaks for itself. I've never had anything I didn't enjoy here, the horchata is a life changing experience you will never find anything as pure and fresh as thiers. The tacos bring you straight to flavor avenue. My personal favorite is the tamarindo shrimp & filet mignon I can't express how amazing the flavor is. Puesto is a 10/10 for me.

Absolutely enjoyed my dining experience. It was my first time at Puesto. I tried the short rib taco at Petco park and knew I had to visit the store front location. All the tacos that I tried were delicious (short rib, chicken adobada, tamarindo shrimp), mango margarita, and nogada guacamole, chips and salsa. I was completely blown away by the choco flan! Special shout out to the staff and service. They were so attentive and friendly. All around great experience and cannot wait to go back for Taco Tuesday. My friends all raved about my restaurant pick and look forward to returning as well. 10/10! Thank you Puesto!!!

The menu was very limited. Not sure if they are going to last. I felt that the food was very over priced for food that was just ok. I would have been happier at a local food truck. After paying $170 I was still hungry ?

Always amazing food and service. It's always cold though - no matter where you sit (inside or outside) so dress appropriately, but it's worth it! We go once a month a minimum.

Always a good time at Puesto. Food is overpriced but it’s creative. Like their tamarind shrimp tacos- and soo good. The drinks here are genuinely soo good. Our server was so friendly and food came out in a timely manner despite the fact they were very busy. I come here mainly when I want a really good drink. The coconut margarita is my favorite. It’s inside the shopping center where Trader Joe’s is at and I never have trouble finding parking.
