Food is amazing, staff is incredibly kind and the service is very fast. Overall has a great atmosphere with great food

The service was slow, and we were sat right on top of another table even though the restaurant itself was pretty empty. I ordered the steak and egg cheese burrito. It was poor in quality, and a small portion size. The cost of $20 for a breakfast burrito was a bad value. The eggs were undercooked, and the steak was overcooked. Would not recommend or return.

Oh gosh- where to start?! First I want to say my family and I have eaten here many, many times and the food and the service is usually very good. Today, however, it was anything but. We informed Larry that we were in a hurry so when he took our drink and food order there was definitely attitude there from Larry, bordering on rude but we chose to ignore it. When my daughter's soda was served, Larry slammed it down so hard I'm surprised the glass didn't shatter. My daughter has special needs and this scared and upset her. It was totally uncalled for. Our food came out quickly and we thanked them for this. Because it came out so quickly we had time for another drink. When the drinks came, (margarita) they were noticeably absent any tequila. They tasted like straight lime juice. I noticed the hostess and Larry looking at our table and trying not to laugh and smirking. My husband asked the bartender if there was tequila in them and he said yes. Not sure what was so funny except maybe Larry told the bartender to make virgin margaritas. We did not drink them and asked for the check. A good 15 min lapsed from asking for the check multiple times during which time there was more smirking by Larry and the hostess. At this point I'm done. I see Larry has several checks in his hand, mine not included. There is no question this is intentional. I told hostess you bring me the check now or I am leaving. At this point I was so upset. I told Larry his behavior was so uncalled for. He was rude and petty and ruined our afternoon which happened to be my birthday. He offered to comp the bill. He took the questionable drinks off. I should have let him comp the bill but I paid it and left. I am pretty bummed. Queensland Bistro was my go to for drinks and/or food when I'm shopping. From looking thru other reviews it seems I'm not the only person who has had issues with Larry. The owners of this restaurant need to do better. He is unprofessional and if this is the face of your restaurant he is surely driving other customers away. I'll be sure to let my friends and family know to avoid this place as well. My daughter is especially upset because this was her favorite place to eat when we were at UTC.

Manager Larry was rude from the start. You are not allowed to have food and let anyone join later, mast wait in the street. Besides, everyone else will be seated in front of you.Shame, such lovely places and awful attitude of the management.

Man, I am glad I felt the urge to check this place out. I had heard they do mimosas to go, they had a sign confirming that, but by the time we left I was far too full to want to even consider it! Very dog friendly, they were even putting dogs "inside" (the whole place is just covered patios, so no matter where you sit you'll be a bit exposed to the elements). We got one of the tables right out front, and it was so much fun for people watching! We had a great time just seeing all the people (and their dogs of course) walking by. They had $5 mimosas while we were there, which was fun. Oh my gosh, the chicken pot pie was enormous! I have a big appetite and I could barely finish it, but I did because it was also insanely good. My wife enjoyed her lamb burger. They have a big bowl of dog treats out front, and our dogs enjoyed those as well. The prices are definitely a bit expensive here, but the portion sizes definitely made up for it. We will certainly be back here.Kid-friendliness: They make you park strollers in the back.

The reviews for this place seem to be great which is why we ended up choosing to eat here for lunch at 2 o'clock on a Friday. It was pretty slow. I'm gonna go ahead and say we came at an off time. The hostess and another one of the servers had a terrible attitude. When the mood of the servers/staff is low, it really does set a tone for the environment & meal. I will say, our server did a good job! Food came out really fast. I do wish we got a refill on waters. Sometimes I think when people order just water, the servers, don't always pay attention to refilling them because they don't make any money off of them. It's decorative and clean, the atmosphere seems to be bright. We got the burger and the chili. The chili was great! 10/10! The chips with the chili were from a bag; 4/10. The burger was incredibly greasy and the potatoes weren't crispy; 5/10. I don't think we'll come back but maybe it was a bad time for them!

This one of the best places on UTC plaza in la Jolla. This please is great for breakfast or lunch or for after shopping memosa. My favorite is the Lamb burger with mint sauce. So juicy and refreshing and has a unique taste. Also good selection of beers wine and cocktails.

The food was good, the ambience was better. I got a chicken BLT on toasted sourdough, the sourdough was quite hard, tearing up the roof of my mouth a bit. But the flavor was definitely there! The older gentleman serving us was helpful, not as friendly as I would expect for a midweek dining experience.

Lambs chops the best in town! Great service. Lovely atmosphere for date night or night out with the girls.

It's always great to visit QUEENSTOWN Bistro at the UTC mall. It's located right at the heart of the mall where the fountain is. It has heated patio which is perfect for the outdoor dining despite the cooler weather. Amazing service. The food unfortunately was not as good as I expected. We ordered two sharable plates, the famous chicken pot pie and finger sandwiches. The finger sandwiches were pretty good. It's simple, almost feel home made. The chicken pot pie was quite salty and filling. I thought I would really enjoy the food, but was disappointed. I will consider trying something else here since it's such a great place to meet.

Had brunch here with my wife this weekend. The food was solid and most of the staff was friendly and inviting. That said, I can't in good conscience leave a 5-star review. While the majority of the staff was great, we were waited on by an older gentleman who introduced himself as the GM. For some reason he had a hard time acknowledging my wife's presence and only ever looked at and spoke to me. It was like she was a ghost or something. Weird vibes overall and it left us feeling put out.

I love Caesar salad and this steak Caesar is my absolute favorite. I never get sick of it. The pot pie is delicious and tons of food. The strawberry chicken salad is really good too. Yummy drinks and great ambiance as well! Service is always good. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stopped by this morning for brunch. The food and general atmosphere were good. However, we were waited on by an older gentleman (I think he might've been the manager) and he didn't address me once. Every single time he came to our table to either take our order or check in on us, he would only speak to my husband and say things like "how's it going, sir?" and "are you all set, sir?" despite me answering his questions as well and saying please and thank you. It got to a point where my husband and I both felt so uncomfortable especially at the end when he handed the bill straight to my husband (he wasn't reaching his hand out or anything) and said "here you go, sir" and "thank you, sir". It was literally like I was invisible and it left us both feeling pretty bothered.
