Rakadeka Fresh Thai Kitchen

I should’ve known better since when I was looking for Thai places they already had a low rating but I was much closer to this Thai place then Kings Thai which is where I should’ve gone. But anyways I decided to give them a try and their food was overpriced I paid $22 for chicken pad Thai and crab Rangoon‘s when I asked for extra sweet-and-sour they charge me a dollar for it and I also asked for lemon since my pad Thai came with out one. I’ve never been anywhere where a lemon or lime is not included with the pad Thai. They told me lemons are too expensive and they don’t supply them I would’ve been OK with that answer if she didn’t nickel and dime me for an extra sweet-and-sour sauce which was water down. My pad Thai was very soupy and lacked taste. I’ll never go there again.

First time here. The cashier was in a sour mood and snapped at me twice… once because I asked for Thai iced tea and they were out and the second because I wanted the lunch special and somehow she said they were not serving it today.The cook lady was very nice when she gave me my order so that kinda made me feel better so that’s why I gave them 3 stars.I should of read the reviews before coming.

The last two times I’ve gone to this place the cashier told me they are only accepting cash because their internet is down. It sounds suspicious to me! Either two things are happening; 1. The owner is trying to avoid paying taxes or 2. The employees are stealing and pocketing the cash. Aside from them not taking debit or credit cards the quality of their service and food has gone down significantly in the last 3 years. The food portions are not consistent in the amount served and if you order a protein they put the bare minimum in their dishes. It’s a shame because I used to love this place. I’ve now started going to the King of Thai down the street in the same area! Night and day between these two places. I only tried this place again because the King of Thai was closed today. Owner, pay attention to your restaurant;If you don’t care no one else will care.

Only cash and no receipt? This place is committing tax fraud big time. They will only take cash and say they can’t give a receipt and put the cash in there pocket. We’ve eaten here for many years but enough is enough! The icing on the cake is that they are rude also. A great example of a really good establishment going downhill all the way to the bottom.

Update Nov 2021 - This used to be a weekly favorite place to go over the past 10+ years, however last year I stopped due to increasing prices, less food portion, more bland flavors, and horrible cashier who is either defrauding customers, or stealing from the owner. Either way there are multiple regulations being violated. When my parents were in town visiting and wanted to go to rakadeka upon entering the cashier was quick to tell us it was cash only because their internet was down. No prices are posted and there is only one menu with all prices covered up by taped over cardboard. This is illegal. When we ordered she took out her phone and calculated the bill to tell us it was an even $40, which was higher than it has historically been (about $33 for the three items we ordered), plus a very convenient two $20 bills which my dad naively handed over. She pocketed the money, and at no point recorded the order in the official point of sale register machine. This is also illegal, and suggests she is stealing from the owner. When we asked for a receipt she said the printer is broken. Offering no visibility to what the charges were for each item, and no receipt upon request is a severe violation of California business practices. When we asked about the prices not being shown, she said it is because their costs change daily, which is completely bs.

Worst service I ever had at any resturant. Grub hub messed up my order. When I got to the resturant my order had not been prepared, because they didn't have n item and no took the time to notifica me. The owner was very rude and unaccommadating.She let a unsatisfied repeat customer walk out the door loosing a 25.00 food tab. Food is great however they will never collecr another dime of my money.

Worst customer service brought to you by Ms. Purple hair. My mom asked for plates and utensils in the notes of her online order which was $38, I went inside to pick up the food, no plates or utensils in the bag. So I asked for some. She walked to the back with an attitude, came back with one plate, two spoons, and a couple napkins. I asked for a couple more plates. She goes to the back again with an attitude, come back with one more plate and says bye. I said no I need 2 more. She said that’s all she has. Then I asked for another spoon that I needed. She grabs it and says bye. So I leave. My mom goes in complains and asks for plates, then the lady is trying to hand her a whole bunch. Excuse me??? Give your patrons f****** plates without an attitude thanks. Especially when you bought enough food for 6 people. Not going back.

They took way too long to make 1 dish almost 30 minutes will not be going back

I have been going here for a decade plus. I didn't realize how much they nickel and dime customers now. The dine in options were in takeout containers and you had to purchase water. To add insult to injury, it's cash only! For a family dinner or anything really, I wouldn't recommend going here.

I got the yellow curry with rice. Food was ok. I wouldn't recommend it for the price.

This place never disappoints! Great authentic fresh Thai food. I enjoy all the great options available and also being able to customize your preferred spice levels. The staff is practicing safe and clean procedures from what I can see. The staff always welcomes me and everyone is friendly which makes me keep coming back.

Good food, good selection! They can customize your spicy level which I really enjoy. The staff is practicing social distancing and proper P.P.E. everyone is friendly and welcoming.

Don't go here. This ppl Don't wash hands to cook. Front person is very rude and grabs money then goes to help cook but doesn't even wash her hands after handling money. I saw this while waiting for food to deliver...Disgusting place.... and rude front woman. ?

The lady at the counter is rude and doesn’t wear gloves and is cooking the food and handling money it’s disgusting ... very unfriendly staff I saw her with my own eyes going back and helps the cook. The lady at the counter does not have customer service skills at all

Great Customer Service ever, The front women really helped me out last night since I’ve never been in this restaurant before. The menu kinds of hard to understand so she helped me out. She was very extremely helpful and so incredibly sweet. She wasn’t annoyed that I asked her so many questions about their menu. Super friendly customer service as well, a smile and cherry voice with a helpful attitude makes all the difference in the food industry. The food is so great as well. They are doing great on COVID-19 as well. I will definitely be back again. I highly recommended this restaurant!
