The 27 Curry Ramen is amazing. 4 out of 6 of us at dinner ordered it, and everyone loved it. I have no garlic chips and add spicy oil to it to give it even more flavor. I come to Raki Raki as much as I can as I'm never disappointed in my meal. A few locations make it convenient to visit. There's the one on Clairmont Mesa Blvd, on in Rancho Penasquitos and one in Mira Mesa. If you visit the on in PQ, be warned that they have limited seating.

Okay so I love the other location on convoy. This one is a lot easier to get seated and to park, but the ramen is notably worse here. Portion is smaller, pork is less fatty, and the bean sprouts don't have the little bean head.
It's still good but know there's a trade off. Service is good and the space is clean and comfortable.

What we ordered:
• ikageso karaage (fried squid)
• takoyaki
• all star ramen
• ox tail tsukemen
• milk tea
• strawberry ramune
We normally get the chicken karaage but this time went with the squid and it was sooo good and fried perfectly!
Dipping noodles are always a fun, and I don’t know of many places that have tsukemen so we always have to get it here. They have a braised oxtail version that was very flavorful with the tender oxtail falling off the bone!
The All-Star Ramen was definitely my favorite. This Ramen has fire-flamed underbelly and comes with kurobuta spare ribs and jumbo crispy gyoza. The tonkatsu broth was amazing and enhanced with black garlic and red chili oil 🤤 it was a big portion and I definitely had leftovers for the next day!
Food was DELICIOUS!!! They had excellent customer service and I just can’t wait to go back!!!!

For anyone who thinks ramen is something that costs about a dollar and comes in a foil package or Styrofoam cup, have your eyes opened! Rakiraki is one of the best ramen spots I have been to, and there is no shortage of ramen restaurants if you are exploring Convoy. With ramen, it is all about the broth, and they know how to do their broths! But not only that, the noodles were cooked to perfection, and all the toppings couldn't be better. For those not quite feeling ramen (not sure what you're doing here if that's the case, but hypothetically) there is a very big section of the menu for alternatives, especially rice bowls and Korean food. The service was great, the food was great, and it's got a great ambience that's right in that middle place: not super casual with fluorescents and linoleum flooring, but you also don't have to dress up (though if you did, you wouldn't stick out). What more could you ask for? Oh, prices! The pricing here is quite reasonable given what you get and how prices everywhere are going straight up. Portions were big enough we asked for a few boxes, too. All in all, if someone asked me for a recommendation for a ramen restaurant, Rakiraki is currently my first choice.
Vegetarian options: With so much of the menu being broth-based, I'm not sure how easy it would be for a vegetarian -- let alone a vegan -- to eat here, but I wasn't looking specifically from that aspect so couldn't say for sure.
Parking: Parking is always a nightmare in this area. Just be patient and expect to circle the parking lot more than a few times.
Kid-friendliness: No problem bringing the kiddos
Wheelchair accessibility: No issues maneuvering a wheelchair

I ordered the tonkotsu tsukemen with aburi chashu, and felt that it missed the mark. For one, the chashu was very tough and chewy, with no tenderness to be found. More importantly, the chashu was stacked up underneath the broth to nearly the surface -- this makes no sense, since tsukemen are dipping noodles, so unless you take the meat out and stack it on your plate of noodles, you can't really dip your noodles in. While the broth itself had nice flavor, it was too watery to grip onto the noodles. Overall, I think I would have maybe enjoyed ramen more than tsukemen here? It was as if I was served a bowl of ramen but deconstructed in the wrong way. No chashu next time.

Rakiraki has to be one of the top 3 Ramen spots in San Diego! But this location is my absolute favorite. They do everything right and maintain consistency every single time!
It was a Friday night around 5 and it was a little busy but thankfully there was a table open. It was right in front of the AC unit so it made us really cold! We asked to move and there were no more tables open so we moved to the bar. They took our order promptly and the food came out around 10 minutes after placing our order.
I usually get the Shabu Shabu ramen but this day I got the Original Hakata Tonkatsu Ramen with chashu pork.. big mistake.. :/ the pork wasn’t not chashu at all. It was tough and not the right cut to be called chashu. Really ruined the meal for me and I wish I would have stuck to the shabu shabu. Honestly if it was chashu then they game me the crumbs of it cuz they advertise the ramen with a SLICE of chashu pork in the photo.. and if that is the case I didn’t appreciate it..
My cousin ordered the Akasaka K-Town Kimchee Ramen. It was a little spicy but had great flavor. She enjoyed it very much. We also ordered the jump fried gyoza which is pretty bland inside and lacks flavor but I don’t come here for those.. and the chicken karaage which isn’t really Karaage cuz it isn’t fried in the traditional way, it’s really just fried chicken thighs not cut properly so when you bit into it, it tears awkwardly .. but I don’t come here for that either.. just the ramen.
Anyways I love coming here for the ramen but I guess I shouldn’t change it up and also this last visit I was pretty let down honestly..

The karaage had too much breading and the chicken got dry. Vegetarian dumpling was okay, wasn't sticking well, they falling apart soon as you pick then up. We tried the shabu shabu ramen and yakiniku short rib tonkatsu. Both of us preferred ramen topped with chashu. Broth on both ramen tasted the same. No had to issues with that.

Rakiraki Ramen and Tsukemen offers some of the best ramen I’ve had in San Diego. The food is consistently excellent, and their young servers genuinely try to provide great customer service. However, there were a couple of issues that affected our dining experience.
Out of the three high chairs available, only one was usable. The other two were missing the middle straps, which could have easily caused our infant to fall through. This left my wife holding our baby while I rushed back out to get the stroller. The staff seemed a bit awkward when I brought this up, explaining that no one replaces the high chairs once they’re broken. This level of neglect is worrisome, as it poses a serious safety risk for infants. Simple safety equipment like functional high chairs is essential for any family-friendly restaurant.
Another major issue was the state of the men’s restroom. The toilet seat had fecal spray all over the rim, the floor was filthy, and my toddler kept pointing out how dirty everything looked. It was not just unappealing but genuinely unsanitary, especially for a restaurant.
While I highly recommend Rakiraki for their food, they need to address these safety and cleanliness concerns to ensure a better experience for all families.

I used to like their food but todays’ dipping noodles were really dried and broth was just too oily, thick and rich for my liking. The fried chicken and tofu were good though. The service is alittle different than my previous experience maybe they were tried from this heat.
