We had our wedding in August through Ranch Events, in their Seaside Room. Ramon, Veronica and Sid were absolutely amazing and truly made our wedding so special. Everyone was complementing us on how lovely the service was from staff and how delicious the food was! I cannot recommend Ranch Events enough! We are now reaching out to them to book our baby shower as well. We will be booking Ranch Events for all our future family events!

We found the Seaside Room while checking out the Marina Village Conference Center in general. We actually didn’t even know about that room at all after looking at the Marina Village website. We happened to walk by and it looked lovely, so we walked over to talk to someone at the Ranch Events office. Megan happened to be working that day and chatted with us about how our event might look if we decided on the Seaside Room.

From the beginning, Megan was a delight to work with! She’s incredibly friendly and personable, and she was the first one out of six (6) tours to mention that the date we were interested in would be landing around the time change, and that it would get dark much earlier. Why didn’t anyone else mention this?? So we knew right away that Megan would look out for us and our best interest. And she absolutely did! She was very helpful (even as we made several changes back and forth trying to decide exactly what we wanted for our special day), and she was quick to respond to our emails. She even broke her leg/ankle shortly before our event and still managed to take care of business! Truly an awesome and professional person to work with!

Beyond Megan herself, we were very happy to have had Ranch Events cater our wedding. The food was delicious; one of my cousins even pointed it out as he happily walked past my husband while showing off a second heaping plate full of food. Several guests also complimented our cake. Even if they couldn’t quite put their finger on the flavor (passion fruit!), more than one person asked me about it the days that followed, so clearly they were intrigued.

The Seaside Room and its patio were also quite beautiful, and we loved the view of the marina as the backdrop for our couples table during the reception. The venue was able to fit our 210 guests comfortably, while still having a good sized dance floor! The patio made it easy to bring in our late night snack vendors, and we liked having a second bar outside as well. The only drawback was that the “getting ready suite” left a lot to be desired, but having seen it prior we were able to account for that and chose to get ready at our hotel instead for better lighting and photos. That room worked just fine as a space to decompress between the ceremony and the reception and to store a change of clothes and close family items.

Overall we’re so happy we chose Ranch Events and the Seaside Room for our wedding; the whole experience was fantastic as well as being incredibly priced!

I highly recommend Ranch Events and I hope to be able to work with them again. We struggled to find a catering team in San Diego that was within our budget and would still work with us to customize our wedding reception to the way we wanted, but then we found Ranch Events. We met with Bernardo to plan and he showed us so much care - he wasn't just trying to get our business, he truly cared about us as a couple and wanted our event to be a success. He was thorough, communicative, and hands-on while still being respectful when we would make decisions contrary to his recommendations. On the day of our event, I was nervous because he wasn't going to be there but he did a great job preparing his staff. They knew every detail of our planning and executed better than I could have imagined. For example, we did a candy bar for our event so we just brought jars of candy ourselves, but his staff brought display boxes and extra linens and arranged it for us in a way that added extra elegance to our event. Our reception was a dream come true and Ranch Events was an integral part of that success. I am truly grateful for them

We simply cannot say enough good things about Ranch Events and our incredible event coordinator, Bernardo. Choosing this venue was the single best decision we made for our wedding, and Bernardo is the reason why.

From our very first consultation to the final moments of the night, Bernardo was thoughtful and attentive at every step of the way. He made the entire wedding planning process feel easy and stress-free. He was always available, highly responsive, and full of great suggestions, making us feel completely supported throughout the months leading up to the day.

On the wedding day itself, Bernardo and his entire team were true professionals. They were logistics masters, handling every single detail flawlessly and ensuring a seamless experience. We were able to trust them completely and simply focus on celebrating. The day felt like an absolute dream, and we could relax and enjoy every single moment with our friends and family.

Finally, we have to mention the food! Our guests are still raving about the dinner--it was absolutely phenomenal.

If you are looking for a beautiful venue with team who will make your planning easy and your wedding day perfect, look no further. Bernardo and Ranch Events are it! We **highly, highly recommend Ranch Events at Marina Village**!

My son's wedding reception was everything I could have imagined, and more! Bernardo made sure everything was
perfect and went off without a hitch! The room set up was stunning and functional and the food was absolutely
amazing!! So many people came to us and told us this was one of the best weddings they've ever been to!

We cannot say enough about the quality of catering and customer service by Ranch Events for our wedding. Megan was
our main point of contact and was nothing but savvy and open-minded to our food & Bev ideas, creatively bringing them
to life in a functional and beautiful manner. We are the third couple in our family to utilize RE for rehearsal dinners &
weddings, and year over year they always do an amazing job. For our rehearsal dinner, we had buffet island style food
that RE set up at our parents backyard that was a nice casual yet perfectly celebratory dinner style to kick off the
weekend.

At our wedding, we had a plated & served dinner service that was more upscale (where the waiters bring the food to
each person at their tables) and everyone said their service was very detail oriented. We ordered a custom wedding
cake from RE as well as a 4' x 2' berry pastry dessert that they didn't hesitate to tackle making for us - it was stunning,
photo attached! We had a full bar (well numerous bars!) where we ourselves bought & provided all the booze + mixers,
etc. and they served. They absolutely crushed the assignment in all aspects of the weekend and brought our custom,
unique visions to life in a seamless, beautiful manner.

All of our guests raved that it was the best wedding food they've ever had and that the bartending was exceptional. It
meant so much to us to work with a catering company that had many great offerings established but also was excited to
think outside the box and make custom items for us. We even provided beef from the ranch where we got married for
them to cook with for appetizers to literally make the meal from farm to table. So special.

communicative. He worked well with our needs, and the months prior, was able to schedule food and cake tastings to

**The biggest benefits came from the week leading up to the wedding, where he went above and beyond for us! The

We worked with Ranch Events Catering for our wedding at the Marina Village Conference Center, and they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Our point person, Ramon, was incredible—organized, responsive, and always one step ahead. He guided us through menu planning, helped us navigate all the details for the venue, and made sure nothing was overlooked.

On the wedding day, everything ran so smoothly that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The food was delicious (we’re still getting compliments from guests weeks later!), the presentation was beautiful, and the service was spot-on. Ramon and the Ranch Events team coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors, making the whole evening effortless for us and fun for everyone.

If you’re looking for a caterer who combines great food with flawless execution, we can’t recommend Ranch Events—and Ramon in particular—highly enough!

I wish I could rate them 10 stars. to working with Julie to decide what we were looking for for our wedding (she was so flexible and patient!), to our wonderful tasting, to multiple planning meetings with Julie, culminating to the big day. The Ranch Events team can throw a party. the team was so professional and efficient, the bartenders so fun and engaging, and the FOOD was so delicious everyone told me how impressed they were with their meals. and let me not forget to mention the desserts. we had a three layer cake, with each layer being a different flavor, and all the flavors were amazing. we chose a whipped cream frosting so it was light and fluffy and the cake itself had so much flavor. I can't thank the Ranch Events team and Julie enough for making my day perfect and working with me every step of the way.

Review for Rancho Events Center, San Diego Marina, May 17, 2025.

We recently hosted my daughter’s wedding and reception at Rancho Events Center. The location is beautiful, and the food was excellent—everything looked perfect on the surface.

Unfortunately, the night was marred by a deeply troubling experience: several of our guests were robbed during the event. This left us feeling shocked, unsafe, and violated on what was meant to be a joyful celebration. Security and guest safety should be a top priority for any venue, especially one hosting weddings.

I hope the management takes this seriously and makes immediate improvements to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. We loved the setting, but we cannot in good conscience recommend this venue until safety is addressed.
