Carmen was fantastic and so was the food. I would dare say best vegan Mexican food I’ve ever had. I am not vegan but my best friend is, I eat with her here and I would never be able to tell the difference. I highly recommend!!

As everyone has mentioned, you will have so many options as a vegan here. The food is great and flavorful. I got the crema de cilantro burrito 🌯 I’m pretty sure that everything on the menu can be made vegan. Updated from previous review on 2025-10-07

I had the Veggie Trio Enchiladas and was very happy with it. A little pricey though. Updated from previous review on 2024-11-28

They do a great job of putting a vegetarian or vegan take on things, but when we took our meat-eating friends, we were all really disappointed. The regular California burrito is pretty good and the shrimp tacos were not great. My chilaquiles were over salted and yet lacked flavor. They also came out cold around the edges like they had been sitting out.
The desserts were really dry (chocoflan and tres leches cake). It seemed like they were especially phoning it in on dessert, which was disappointing.
One thing I absolutely love here, though, is the vegan horchata. It’s better than the regular.

Vegetarian options: Can make every classic Mexican dish vegetarian and season it all very well.

I’ve been coming to Ranchos Concina since the early aughts when they had multiple locations and a vegan market next to the north park one. I’ve made my bands come here multiple times on every tour we do in its proximity. Ranchos is one of my favorite restaurants in the whole world. A massive menu where everything can be veganized and there are no duds. Favorites are: vegan breakfast burrito, fish tacos (hell yeah battered tempeh), carne asada Cali burrito, enchiladas, tortillas from heaven, amazing chips and salsa, micheladas, margaritas, and more…

I was food poisoned a while back, it seems like drano was added to my enchilandas, and I almost died. these ppl are evil, the lady with a long dress would always look at me w/her ugly evil eyes, and her nephew with a beard w/try to pick up on me every time i sat down, when he learned i was not interested, he served me the deadly plate... true story, i called and asked to be reimbursed for my medical expenses, but they refused, i never stepped in that place ever again. true story, hope that after n during covid they have reaped what they deserve., karma is real ppl

This Mexican spot is my go-to when I want to blow my non-vegan friend's mind! The menu changes often, but the prices stay great, and it's all delicious. It's family-owned, and you feel the love in every dish. You get complimentary chips and salsa—always a win. The pancakes taste super fresh, the chilaquiles are packed with flavor, and 'The Works' burrito is my favorite—loaded with a bit of everything and seriously filling. Oh, and don’t miss the carne asada fries—perfect for sharing
