Stepping into Realm of the 52 Remedies feels like entering a hidden world.
Tucked behind an unmarked door lies a sultry, dimly lit sanctuary where every detail oozes mystery and allure. Velvet booths, glowing apothecary bottles, and ancient Eastern charm set the stage.
Johnny is the true alchemist behind the counter, crafting potions that are equal parts art and enchantment.
Incursion into this realm, as part of my wife’s birthday celebration, cast a spell on us. A perfect way to top off a night full of wonder!

A very fun evening with pre dinner cocktails and two appetizers. The bartender was great and the drinks were fun and very different from regular fare at other places.

Absolutely phenomenal service. My partner and I were primarily helped by Abraham and Jamel. They were both so accommodating, sweet, and just overall great to us. The food, as usual, was delicious. Everything tastes like it was made with care and with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is so cool. There's so much to look at and it just feels like sitting in an art piece. As a San Diego native, this is definitely my favorite establishment 🙌🏾

Went here for a birthday celebration, and it was just perfect. They had a reserved section for our group, and the staff was super attentive all night. The cocktail menu was creative, with lots of unique twists on classics. I tried the smoked old fashioned, which came with a cool presentation involving an actual smoke bubble. Drinks were delicious, the music kept the energy high, and everyone had a blast. Highly recommend for celebrations!

After bringing many folks here and being disappointed every time I think I'm done with this place for good. The cocktails are great. Some that I think I'd really like due to ingredients included I really dislike. Also I've had a couple iterations of the food menu and it's the same story; I've not enjoyed a lot of the food I've had here. Meh.
The Saigon Dreamer, the best cocktail I've ever had isn't good enough to prop this place up on its own. You just have to wait too long for food and drinks which are too hit-or-miss.

Excellent place for cocktails and trying drinks that you would normally not order. The food however isn’t worth the price you pay for it, especially the entrees that are small portions despite the menu referring to it being “family style meal”. Would suggest eating in Common Theory first then coming in here for a couple of drinks

How is it to vet to a place to make a reservation and your reso get disappear? Terrible hosts. Waste of the night and ruined
Date night type speakeasy

The one drink we got each were great. The setting and the ambience were beautiful.
But the service and the treatment we got ruined our experience.
We arrived just before 9 PM. Hostess at the entrance told us that it is going to be a wait and refused to give an estimate about how much time that would take. We made it clear that we wanted to eat. Around 9:30 PM, we got a text that our seats are available, so we headed back to the hostess. There was a short talk about the inspiration behind the place at the entrance that was super rushed and we did not understand what she was saying, sounded like she was in a hurry to get through it.
Only after being seated were we told that the kitchen is now closed and that we couldn't get food, which was very frustrating.
Inside, we complained to the waitress about not being told about that, which she dismissed. We ordered drinks anyways, but couldn't help but notice that people who got seated after us were still getting desserts.
The drinks were very good, but we kept getting interrupted multiple times mid conversation to ask about how the drinks were and if there is there anything else we wanted to order.
Overall, service is a large part of the experience for a place like the Realm, and the one we received along with the miscommunication and general disregard to our desires from the visit were not up to standard. The treatment we received we felt would be best described as dismissive, even borderline rude at times.

Creative, well-crafted cocktails paired with small plates. Kawaii tamago to start with 13 Assassins and Saigon Dreamer cocktails. Oko-fries and KFQuail, with Opium Den and Earl Grey cocktails. We were encouraged to use all our senses to enjoy our cocktails. Dessert topped everything off. Wanted to try the mushroom fried rice and duck (next time). Low light and relaxed ambience. Glowing jade bar. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for the experience.
