Excellent food. Atmosphere was fun and a bit positive quirky blast from the past ol' time steakhouses. Enjoyed the experience and the people. Will put the Red Fox on our to do list for dinner each time for our trips now that we have regular meetings to San Diego.

The ambiance was so cool with live music and old school charm. Service was very attentive and kind. You get complementary garlic bread that was so delicious, had a Tito's vodka martini, fillet was very delicious abscesses shrimp. Calling with the piano & sax it was a great time.

Zow!!!!!! Used to go here when it was located on the other side of El Cajon Blvd. For my husbands birthday took the fam there just the other night. Yes, no reservations, but all arrived early enough to obtain a beautiful booth. Ahhhh the interior is still that groovy vibe of days long ago. Our waiter, Chris, was the "Dude" that really made the whole eve just that much more grand! Of course we all began this trip in coctails. I had the executive martini, down and dirty. Maaaaan was that good. For my dinner, had red wine. Sorry, can't remember which one. The garlic bread which is right there as you are seated plus water, was so good, it just melts in your mouth. We were not rushed, so everyone could really get comfortable to enjoy it all the more!!!! Kudos for that! I had the petite filet mignon, just to my liking, baked potatoe with all the goodies, and a cool crisp green salad before. Of course since my husbands birthday we all had desert. the chocholate cake w whip is always the best. Will visit again...Was so the best!!!!!!

Excellent classic steakhouse, with excellent service. The steaks are above par for a classic steakhouse, not super high end, but the pricing reflects this. This is my go to steak house.

One of the best meals I have had, blue cheese and cheese bread lovers beware ! The dark, woodsy old timey vibe was perfect for my rare meat eating outing! The jazz piano jingles loom in the nooks, the staff is amazing, The Manhattan rocks begged a Sinatra line and vibe and it delivered. Red Fox start howling !!!

Everything about this place is amazing. The food was delicious and was at a great price point for a steakhouse, the apps were good, drinks were delicious, we had martinis and the wine was great. Service was above and beyond, our waitress was sassy and rad, I forgot her name but she's the one that hands out stickers and we love her! We were there with a large group for a birthday and had a lot of requests and ordered lots of things and everything was perfect. Music was jamming and it's pretty loud but still able to hold a conversation. The outside of this place looks like a boring chain restaurant but don't be fooled!

What a great retro dining experience. The atmosphere is sublime and relaxing. It feels like, and is, an old school, steak house. I started with French Martini, my dining partner had an Old Fashioned, and both were perfect. I ordered the Steak and Cod after finding out that the Cod was broiled. It's my favorite way and hard to find! The meal came with salad, garlic toast, and a side, I chose a baked potato. Everything was very good and generous. My fellow chose the pork chops, and they , too, were happy with their meal. Service was wonderful , timely, and informative.
