This was our first time dining at the La Jolla restaurant, but we've dined at the Newport Beach location many times when on vacation. We were in town for a wedding and needed a place to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. We were very excited to find a Red O in La Jolla. The food was good, but a $219 tomahawk steak & lobster combo the lobster was overcooked. Prices here were higher than the quality of food represented. Took 20 mins and 3 requests just to get a 2nd coke. Also, the table size for 8 people was way too small.
Vibe was awesome, service was excellent. But the smash burger was horrible! 3 of us had it and all concurred it was tough and not tasty-But it’s our own fault for ordering a burger at a Mexican place. Appetizers and salsa were delicious. I’ll be back to try other menu items!
