Brilliant Food! Highly recommend you take advantage of their delicious baked omelettes and pancakes. Our order came out faster than anticipated yet still tasted amazing. Appreciated the atmosphere. Went during a weekday. Can be pricey, but worth it.
Parking: Parking was a challenge - ended up paying $30.00 for it, but was right around the corner. Lots of one-way streets
Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available

The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Service was fantastic and a team effort. One person seated me, another took my order, and a third brought my food out. All three were very friendly. This is my new San Diego breakfast spot.

The orange juice was totally artificial.
Great breakfast place in Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego! Decent food, excellent service with a cute ambience! My server, Sandra is exceptionally attentive and courteous and made my dining experience extra-pleasant. Thanks Sandra!

Walked up around 7:30 and the place was packed! Quickly seated and served coffee. Ordered bacon and cheese omelet which comes with either toast, hash browns or pancakes. At Richard's PANCAKE House, you need to at least try the pancakes. Omelet was baked and developed a nice crunchy exterior. I could have used more cheese, but the amount of bacon was perfect. Pancakes are light, flavorful and piping hot. Whipped butter and warm syrup accompanying pancakes was good. This is small place and the outside seating is extremely 'cozy'. Service was fast and attentive, coffee always full. They add a 5% service fee. Not a fan and why 4 stars overall. Every business owner needs to balance menu prices vs. menu cost I suppose. As I left, the line was at least 20 deep.

Great location! Delicious food— I loved the Mediterranean omelette and my husband said the bacon omelette was the best he’s ever had!! Our kids had GF pancakes and those were so flavorful, fluffy and crisp edges!
Service was great too!! We will definitely go again when we’re in town!

I go to Richard's just about every year for Veteran's day. The quality, in all of its aspects, makes me feel like an old man who is "Appreciated" for the sacrifice of his youth to serve (and in Desert Storm).

Swiss vegetable omelette was excellent, but the Strawberry Belgian waffle was soggy. My mistake as we were seated outside with heavy marine layer.
Beware service was slow and unfriendly.

Richard Walker and the Walker brothers pancake House locations in the Chicago area have the best eggs and pancakes anywhere..hands down.
Anyone who says their food is mediocre or not very good, obviously has no idea what they're talking about and is probably used to eating garbage.
You will never find a better omelette anywhere and the 49er flapjacks are probably the best pancakes you will ever find at any restaurant in the entire country....

Delicious!!! Portions are pretty BIG HAHA There is a pretty wait time after 9ish. Food was great. They only have one tiny bathroom (no child changing room) so I would recommend GO before you arrive lol. Our server was super sweet and funny!

Always a delicious treat to visit Richard Walker's. Excellent service and scrumptious food. Make sure you try a baked pancake at least once! We split the apple baked pancake and an egg combo plate. The sausage was particularly tasty.

Peppers in my omellet were noticeably fresh. My wife stopped talking with me to eat her gluten-free waffle, for 5 ish minutes all she said was, "It's so good!". And I never got to the bottom of my coffee.

This used to be one of the best pancake places in downtown SD but when we recently visited, the pancakes didn't taste the same. Not to mention the $ for the food. It didn't match.
We pick restaurants with primarily for pancakes and their pancakes were a 3️⃣ out of 5️⃣. Not sure what happened?
The bathrooms were clean, though. 😁
