Every staff is deliberately slowing down the production speed, and the order is also very slow, and there is a female staff who is full of arrogance and rudeness. I don't understand why they should be hired, arrogance and laziness are not the way to embody the Japanese atmosphere.

The food, drinks, and overall atmosphere here are absolutely amazing—I’ve really enjoyed my visits. However, I did notice something concerning: both times I’ve been here, there was a fly inside the pastry cabinet. It’s disappointing to see this happen more than once because everything else about this place is wonderful. I hope the staff can address this issue soon, as it would make the experience perfect.

I ordered a matcha drink here and it was terrible….overly creamy, unbalanced, and honestly undrinkable. When I politely went back to let them know, I was told they “try to minimize waste” so they would not remake my drink.

I understand wanting to cut down on waste, but refusing to remake a drink that was poorly prepared is unacceptable customer service. Customers should not have to pay for something they can’t drink. I left disappointed and won’t be returning.

They also discontinued a drink that was popular due to wanting to “refocus” on other drinks. Over all just a very poor experience, and I hope the management reads these reviews to teach their staff better customer service standards.
Also requesting that the management team refunds me.

Lovely new upgrade to the space, I love the bar in front of the coffee station. The small portions compared to the pricing is truly what has kept me away from coming to this space more often. Other wise wondeful as always!

Got the ceremonial matcha latte with sweetener (simple syrup) & the honey cream top matcha with sweetener (simple syrup) and both were excellent. A lot of people on here complaining of the size but in all honesty, if you truly love matcha I’d rather pay $7 for authentic matcha with smaller volume vs. $7 for a large cup of sweet milk.

The employees were lovely they were the only pleasant thing about this cafe. They have no bathroom and no outlets to charge and their seating is uncomfortable its like they dont want you to stay long. the matcha was tasteless maybe it was just mine they didnt do great on but definitely not worth all the hype it gets online. Some people got ticketed for parking even though they had paid but thats out of the cafe’s control. The ambiance is super peaceful but I have nothing more nice to say maybe it’s just not meant for everyone :/

I don’t know why this place is getting such low ratings. It’s exquisite. I guess everyone has different taste, but these folks really care and put a lot of effort into making consistent, beautiful beverages. My guess is that people’s expectations are too high, so they get disappointed after waiting in line, but if they just went at a low key time and were local, they would like it more.

My favorite matcha spot in San Diego! Get their strawberry matcha it’s so good! And their black sesame pastry is so so yummy! I love the vibe of the space, I am from the Bay Area and I’ve been CRAVING for a place like this, and it delivers. I almost cried when I walked in because it reminded me of home. Such a cool spot! Please go! And I promise you’ll be back!
