It is a cute little bar with excellent food and really nice bar tenders. Chatted up Kenny, who was really cool and told me what food to order. We loved everything we ate. Beer was priced great for being that close to the beach. Pool was fun, too.

Just had the carnesada, nachos and fish an chips at riptides in pacific beach. Literally, some of the best i've ever had. Great service and wonderful atmosphere.The people were fabulous.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at Riptides Bar and Grill was so awful I feel obligated. The staff were shockingly rude from the moment I walked in — no greeting, no smile, just pure attitude. It felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there.
They clearly have no sense of customer service or respect. I asked a simple question about the menu and got eye rolls and sarcasm. The energy in this place is toxic — like they’re doing you a favor by letting you eat there.
I didn’t even stick around for the food. I’d rather eat a gas station sandwich in peace than deal with that kind of treatment again.
Avoid this place unless you enjoy being disrespected.

Terrible service, waited 45 mins for 1 taco, the taco tasted terrible, the beer was very overpriced, the waiter was one of the rudest people ive ever met. Had very good expectations walking in, was dissatisfied with ever aspect!!

Dive bar vibe, but food was pretty good. Typical fried apps, but I love beer battered fries, and the tacos. I heard great things about wings, chicken sandwich and protein bowl. Dupri was a great guy bending over backwards to serve and bartend.

Out of towner, they made me feel welcome. I closed out the bar and hungout with the staff while they wrapped up after all the locals left. If your in Pacific Beach and are looking for a low key spot with good service, this is it. Highly recommend!
