Bf and I were stoked to try this place as a non-local due to the great reviews on yelp. We ordered the fettuccine gamberi+pancetta since it was hyped up in so many reviews. However, I was pretty disappointed because it was salty and nothing special. In fact I wondered if this was the right restaurant for a second. We could not finish it and had to take the rest in a box. The ambiance was very nice though, especially around the holidays.

I went to this italian spot about a year ago and I still haven't stopped thinking about their basil pesto pasta. Everything else was delicious too but the basil pesto was genuinely one of the best ones I've had in my life. Wish I could go back :'). Service was great and the ambiance feels very home-y and cozy. Loved it!

Food was amazing and probably the best Italian food I've had in San Diego. Our server was very kind and friendly. Cute little place in the heart of little Italy. 10/10 would come back!! The seasonal pesto with the burrata ball was so creamy and delicious. Never tried a pesto like that before. Calamari was so good, you can tell it was made from scratch, not just frozen calamari. And the carbonara was excellent.

Great food, great customer service and atmosphere! Took the wife for a date, she loved it and we'll be coming back.

A very unsuspecting 2nd story quaint Italian restaurant with the best service (shout out to Eddie and his team!!!) with great recommendations and fabulous wine to pair it with. We started with calamari and it was perfectly seasoned, cooked, and presented. Our food ordering was a special pesto pasta with burrata and I had the lobster ravioli. Both incredible. Both amazing. And they didn't skimp on the portions. Atmosphere is nice. Casual and relaxed mixed with some romance themes. Eddie made us feel very welcome and had extreme confidence in his chefs cooking. Do date night here. You'll enjoy it.

Tasteless and flavorless food for vegetarians. We ordered the gnocchi and spinach ricotta pizza both were pathetic. Not coming back to this place ever.

The place is cozy and pasta is yummy. Worth the trouble of waiting until 8pm because there weren't any tables until then. We would definitely book a table (in advance -- we learned our lesson) when we visit San Diego again. However, the toilet bowl in the bathroom was absolutely filthy and I think no one deserves to use it after paying an above average priced plate of pasta (plus tip).

First off, our server was great. She was very attentive and took care of us. The bread was great but the seafood pasta dish was extremely lackluster. The lobster ravioli was good and the gnocchi was tasty, but nothing blew us away. Also, sitting on the sidewalk wasn't the ambiance we were hoping for.

Yelp named it the best tiramisu in San Diego in 2023. It's basically a light sponge cake with a bland whipped cream middle. If you like sponge cake this is fine. If you want tiramisu, keep looking. The first time I ate here they were out of tiramisu and advised me to go to Solunto Restaurant & Bakery down the street. Their recommendation was spot on: this turned out to be the best tiramisu I've ever had.

everything here was delicious. The pastas were delicious and the pizza was thin and packed with meat. The beginning bread they gave out was cold, but i won't complain too much abt that because it was free haha. The calamari was good but definitely expensive for some regular calamari. Service was great! everyone was super nice and friendly, but i did have to wait an additional 30 minutes passed my reservation time.

This pasta was well cooked and hot when presented. Very saucy and the shrimp complements the meal overall. I'd say pass on the bread for appetizers. It was cold. I'd come back for another dish of interest.

My wife and I loved this place! It's a quaint little Italian restaurant in the upper floor of a two story building that has a very beautiful display of string lights throughout. It's small, but I love that it's not so big that it gets too noisy. The food was delicious, pasta was cooked perfectly, and the drinks were nice and tasty. The waitress we had (Natasha) was extremely kind and gave us great recommendations that we followed and enjoyed! I recommend the Tortelloni with short rib filling. Absolutely delicious.

We decided to eat here after seeing the high Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! Very attentive staff, upscale environment without feeling stuffy. Eddie suggested a great wine to accompany our meal and it was spot on! We will be back when we are in the area. Look into the Throwback Thursday promotion - it is awesome!

The only reason I'm giving it five stars was because of our server Natasha and the food. I was reading through the previous comments about Natasha and they didn't correlate. She was the best! She gave great service and was very attentive. I was worried about coming after reading about the race and the rudeness of the waitresses comments but that was definitely not my experience! I will say the hostess though with blonde hair and tattoos was very rude. Now she seemed annoyed saying the only option was to sit outside which is fine by the delivery of the comment was very rude. That was my first impression of the restaurant having the hostess and her attitude. At that point I was hesitant to continue my reservation due to her rudeness. Natasha turned our experience around! The food was delicious! Atmosphere was great and having the outside warmers was even better! Also I highly recommend making a reservation! It was booked the night we went!

This is a small place I never really knew was there above Landinis pizza, which is waaaaay better than Filippis btw. There are fancier places nearby but upstairs is very pleasant with a simple elegance and authentic feeling, with wood floors, nice lighting and no tvs or loud music etc. The meatballs were very good in terms of both texture and flavor. The lobster ravioli was recommended by the beautiful waitress Camilla and it was excellent. She also suggested a very good red wine which really added to the experience. Overall I enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.
