The woman who runs this restaurant is very rude. I came between lunch and dinner hours to eat and work a bit. The restaurant was completely empty except for one table and so I sat at a four-top so I could eat comfortably while working. She told me across the restaurant to move to a two-top and then walked over to the four-top where I wanted to sit and put down a reserved sign. Then when she brought over my food, I had some work on my tiny table and she said, “Where do I put this?” I said this is why I would’ve liked the bigger table and she said, “Sorry.” and walked away. So I sat there eating a $60 meal trying not to drip soy sauce on my laptop while looking at five empty four-top tables. There’s a million other sushi restaurants that are chill so I recommend skipping this one.

Disappointing. Mom wanted to take me to get Japanese food for my birthday and we stopped randomly here.

I only eat Japanese food for the past two decades, so I'm familiar with all the food products and how they are prepared, so this isn't a matter of unfamiliar food.

The taste and flavor was on par with a convenience store. Cheap, flavorless with too much sugar and salt. It was not worth the price for basically instant ramen with fried chicken thrown on top.

The food did not even look like in the pictures on the menu: ie missing whole ingredients. I almost threw up after trying to eat the food. We paid $30 to eat two bites of food and then left with regrets. We were starving and lost our appetites from the food!

The staff were polite and the place was clean. I feel awful for leaving this review but the food was inedible.

Spend a little more and go to Tajima or any of the better places nearby, don't regret coming here like we did.

Great sushi ?. My wife and I decided to try RK Sushi after parking in front of it the other week and seeing a good amount of people inside. We are glad we tried it. The sushi was good and left us satisfied.

The ambiance is mid but it was bustling on a Friday afternoon so people clearly like it. There are tablets on every table and you order from them and then a server will bring your dishes once ready.

I recently celebrated my birthday at RK Sushi, and it was an unforgettable experience! Despite it being a busy Friday night, I was seated immediately without a reservation. The food was incredible and did not disappoint. While they offer an enticing all-you-can-eat option, I opted for a regular order and left completely satisfied without spending a fortune. The RK roll is an absolute must-try! Highly recommend this place for fantastic sushi and a great dining experience!

Delicious, quality sushi served in generous portions at an affordable price, finally found what I was looking for in San Diego! Perfect for when just wanting good quality sushi without breaking the bank (not every sushi place has to be high brow elevated cuisine, which San Diego seems to have an overwhelming surplus of).

Very chill ambiance and laid back place. Service was wonderful and everyone was sweet and helpful! Will absolutely be going back.

I hadn't been here in a few years. From what I remember it was a weekend night, the food was good and it was a lively, trendy atmosphere, with clubby music playing loudly. I enjoyed it but I'm not a youngster anymore (at heart I am) but now I prefer a little less lively atmosphere when having dinner. Nevertheless I thought it was a really cool experience. My teenaged kids though really, really enjoyed the experience. I fondly remember that.

This time around, it was just the wife and I on a early Friday evening. The other place had a two hour wait so I decided to give this place another try.

No wait, food was delicious. A little more expensive but I will say the rolls are bigger. They have a order at your table tablet which I thought kind of hurt the atmosphere a little but pretty efficient. This time the clubby vibe was gone but the food was still like I remember if not better.

Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Lastly and not to overlook, they have their own parking.
