Very good Americana style food and some good beer to wash it down. What's not to like

Quite the eclectic menu! I had the Mediterranean Bowl and it was very good. Great local beer choices. Busy place but got a seat at the bar quickly. Give this place a try!
Great meal had by all 7 of us. We were all more than happy with our meal and drinks. This place offers a great variety of choices making it hard to chose. The waiters and staff are very pleasant also. This was our second time there but it won’t be our last.
Great place, great food and good service. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. The beer from the micro brewery was very good.
Meh. First off, we saw a blog that said this was a great family place for kids. I looked at their website and up popped family-style meals and $10 comfort-food TV dinners and I thought, Yes! This is just what we need tonight. We loaded up and drove there only to find out after we were seated that the family style meals and TV dinners are carry out only. Total disappointment. We ordered off the menu. Our food was mediocre at best. The Alfredo was- weird. My daughter and I shared. She couldn't even eat hers. It just wasn't good. Honestly, it tasted like it was plant-based cheese or something. Had we known that TV dinners were take out only, we would've ordered out and cooked them at our hotel. I'm not sure that they would've rocked our socks, but I think our experience would've been better than dining in. Of all of your San Diego dining choices, this wouldn't be on my list, unfortunately.
Staff were so polite, and even if their hands were full, they stop and let you pass first. Great food, stayed in SD for the weekend and came here twice one day after another lol.I suggest calling ahead if you have more than 3 people as it's a popular spot.

Stopped in after a visit to the zoo. Great selection of beers and food. Staff was friendly and service excellent. Enjoyed the fish tacos.
An awful experience, dirty restaurant and not a espectacular flavor of the dishes for the price.
We went with a large group (8 people). Had us sitting right at the door. All the tables I saw were high too. The longer table we got had some decorative metal bar down the middle which served no purpose except to shorten the already short width and spill drinks. Service sucked at best. Slow and inattentive. We were there for 2 hours and I never got a refill on my tea. Had to grab or yell for waiter for napkins and refills on water and alcohol. Food portions were small and not to order. Wife and I ordered salads. Easy right? Apparently not. There was supposed to be eggs and other things on our salad and only saw chicken and lettuce. Asked for extra dressing and got enough to barely taste. Friend ordered tai chicken salad and it was more like cucumber salad with no chicken. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go somewhere else.
Everybody in our party was satisfied. Service was excellent, prices are about right for what you get. It can be crowded, so reservations are suggested.

I had the pot roast french dip sandwich with onion rings(extra $2). I really like french dips but had to try this variation with pot roast and onions plus horseradish sauce. Excellent. This was a very large sandwich. I could only eat half and took half home that I will use for breakfast with over medium eggs. I would ho back. Thos place offers a variety of beers and a beè club but I didn't enquire about the program or try any beer.
Came here while in town for business. Sat at the bar. Ordered a Cobb salad and a Bud Light. Menu a bit tough for me due to lack of healthy choices. Cobb salad sounded good but came with. No chicken and I wanted some bread which was an extra $2.75. Spoke to my bartender and he got my salad remade and took care of the bill On the salad and bread! Salad with the chicken was very good as was the dressing. I also recommend the club sandwich which I usually get. Service was good and prices moderate.
I have been to Lazy Dog in mission valley twice now where I have had Sheila as my server. She is AMAZING, so personable and attentive. She added so much to the experience there I will always request her as my server. Food is great and atmosphere is nice. Love how dog friendly their patio is.
Unless I'm traveling, I usually eat out close to home, Pacific Beach. But lately, I've been venturing out and trying new places. I'm glad I tried Lazy Dog!
The hosts are inefficient and slow with bad attitude. It’s a pity a couple of friends could not join us (a party of 4) for dinner even though there were a couple of bigger tables available and remained empty until we left. Food was acceptable but not wow and restrooms dirty and out of paper.
