The food looked amazing, the service was great but the food was super bland. I'm a big fan of Roberto's and this was the first location I've ever been to when the good was bland. I was visiting and excited about getting my Mexican fix from Roberto's but my visit to this location was disappointing.
I ordered the rolled beef tacos and rice and beans - so good, and a lot of food for the price!
I got the California burrito, which I've enjoyed in the past at the Solana beach location. Unfortunately, the fries here were not cooked until crispy.
I also ended up with a bad case of food poisoning in the evening. Of course I don't know if it was them but I don't think I Will take the chance again.

Food felt stale and absolutely unappetizing. We went there as it was close to where we were living and didn’t want to drive far ot wait long for our food, but we almost immediately knew it was a bad decision. We wondered how this place got decent reviews, even the prices are not cheap. Overall, a bad experience and we won’t come again.

If you want greasy meat slapped onto a tortilla this is the place for you, really wasn't impressed with anything they served here. And the prices were NOT cheap for such poor quality. Made us a little sick later
