I wanted to like this place but our order was lackluster. We ordered oxtail and jerked chicken but they didn’t include any jerked chicken and instead put what I think is goat curry instead. I was not informed of this change so I wasn’t happy about it. In addition the Jamaican rice was burnt so I couldn’t enjoy it. The flavoring of veggies and meat was good though so I’m sure if the rice wasn’t burnt it would’ve been a different story.
I can’t say enough good things about rock steady. Great service. Good food. And everything cooked fresh. By far the best Jamaican food I’ve had in California. This is a SD must!
Great food and perfect atmosphere and way restaurant is styled to perfectly fit the island Caribbean vibe as well as for San Diego. I highly suggest trying the small Jerk chicken plate and the beef patties. Also quick service!
