Fantastic selection of delicious Cali/Mex Food.
Fair priced, great drinks, and very friendly staff.
Alejandro was the best!
Dietary restrictions: Plenty of dietary options for those who are limited in what they can eat. But there would be vegetarian only or not, this place has it
Kid-friendliness: Leave your kids at home it's more fun here without them
Wheelchair accessibility: Very ADA compliant

Love coming here for a quick bite. They have one of the best Bartenders! Luke ! He makes the best margaritas. And Karryna was an excellent server.

This restaurant presents good seafood options and they are at reasonable price. Tables are widely available and the bar can also accommodate many guests. The food came out quickly. I ordered the fajitas and it was very good. The lobster was a little done maybe because it was grilled so it was hard to know. The live music is excellent. Not too loud but not too mellow. I would definitely recommend this place.

Visiting from Baltimore MD for work. This is legit the best experience I had out to eat in a very long time. Street Tacos and Lemon Drop for the win. Hands down the best street tacos I have ever had. Luke was amazing!

It was just okay. My server forgot to put half of my order in so there was time waiting between two items that were meant to be together.

ok - for starters, Luke, the daytime bartender is SUPERB in making you feel welcome and his energy and professionalism is incredible. Then - home made tortilla chips - perfect. I ordered fish tacos and they are legit. I highly recommend this restaurant -makes me miss San Diego!!!

I was rather disappointed, service was so slow for everything even though not busy, from getting a table and then a drink, and food took forever and the burrito was barely warm. But the Margherita when I finally got it was great. I wouldn't recommend and don't expect to go back other than for a drink at bar, maybe.

They had us waiting forever to serve us, not the best attention, waiters seem to be on the phone instead of looking at customers, also they have a 5% surcharge that they werent able to explain to me why it was. Definitely would not recommend (also the food wasnt really anything special for the price)

During what was likely their busiest weekend of the year, thanks to San Diego Comic-Con, I had the pleasure of stopping by Rockin Baja Lobster in the Gaslamp Quarter. My experience was nothing short of exceptional, starting with my solo visit on Saturday.
Despite the chaotic Comic-Con crowds, the bartending staff quickly addressed me with a warm and friendly demeanor. I ordered a mango habanero cocktail and an avocado taco from Alan, the bartender. The drink was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, and the taco was equally impressive. Luke, another bartender, also made sure to check in with me, showcasing their dynamic teamwork.
After exploring other downtown spots, I couldn't find a bar that matched Rockin Baja Lobster's friendly atmosphere, delicious offerings, and accommodating service, so I returned for another round. This time, I sat next to a patron with a giant fishbowl cocktail. We struck up a conversation, and she revealed her brother works there and that the place is less than a year old. Given how smoothly everything ran, this was surprising.
I decided to try the fishbowl cocktail myself, with a custom juice blend, and it was fantastic. So much so, that I brought my family back the next day. Kimberlyn, the host, was incredibly nice despite dealing with a mob of impatient customers. She managed to get us a table quickly by arranging for us to share with another couple. The only hiccup was an incorrect charge for some of their items, but it was easily resolved by the accommodating manager, Jesse, over the phone.
My family enjoyed the blackened salmon and shrimp tacos, and we all agreed we'd return. Rockin Baja Lobster is a gem in the Gaslamp Quarter, offering great food, superb cocktails, and outstanding service even during the most hectic times. Highly recommended!
