Got carne asada burrito, pretty good. It was made in good time, taste good, and not too much/big like other places. The place looks clean, no bathroom though.

Top notch local hole in the wall type restaurant. Out of all of San Diego, this is where I get my burrito fix; specifically with the surf & turf. Today I tried their Big Breakfast Burrito and although it was delicious it was too much meat for my liking. The roll tacos, flautas are yummy and so are the sides of orange Mexican rice and refried beans. They have tasty red and green salsa plus pickled carrots and jalapeños. They offer a variety of traditional stews, caldos, as well as tortas and other traditional Mexican dishes. We also tried the chilaquiles today and those were approved. Basically, everything we've ever tried here we have enjoyed. The taste and food quality is consistent. The staff is sincerely friendly and helpful. Been coming here for ages. And there's a Cafe Moto cross the street. Oh! And a local small bookstore too. Jeje hehe great intersection.

I will never eat here again, the lady is not friendly at all and the meatballs are all raw. The truth is, don't eat here anymore, it's disgusting.

Usually the food is pretty bomb, but then again I hadn't been there in a while. I went after 8pm. I ordered 10 rolled tacos and carne asada fries to share.
When I got home, the guac was brown and some parts looked fresh like they mixed it with the old. Idk.
The old guacamole of course made the food less pleasant. I'm being generous by giving 3 stars but like I said, usually food is pretty good.

Almost $20 for a Cali Burrito with Guac and Crema, no drink either.. You guys are trippin. The only way to get you back is with a nasty review and make sure I spread the word on how you guys robbed me in broad daylight. If anyone sees this, don't waste your time here, just go to Sayulitas and get your money's worth or even Humberto's, seriously. This place is out of control.

Best Cali burritos
Restaurantji Recommends
Surf and turf burrito is easily one of the best I ever had. If El Gordo has the best tacos, Rolando's has the best burritos!

Rolando's is a great taco shop! I've eaten there several times over the last several years, and it's still great. The surf and turf anything is wonderful. And the machaca breakfast burrito, the last thing I got was perfect.
Great food and service. Parking sucks though.

On 05/16/2024 I ordered 1 cheese quesadilla and 1 order of huevos rancheros to go when i got to naval base San Diego to eat opened up the huevos rancheros and it was a joke one egg on a corn tortilla slight like covered in sauce a scoop of beans and a scoop of rice i paid 20$ for both quesadilla and huevos ranchero plate this was ridiculous i will never go there again and i am telling my coworkers at Naval Base San Diego not to go or will get ripped off. Instead go to La Fachada by 25th and commercial across from the police station they have a great menu large fe portions also on the corner of cesar chavez right of the freeway there is a seafood lunch truck great fish and shrimp tacos and campechana cocktails for cheap prices now a days big portions. Rolandos sucks i want a refund
Awful, the food itself was fine, but i was in a rush, got 1 cali, 1 carne asada, 2 sodas , and nothing extra. . 49 dollars they charged me… and yea I’m white , I hate places like these , cus theyd actually be good, If they wernt robbing customers.
