What a great place! Stumbled on this quaint restaurant while waiting for the Farmers market to open on Sunday. Lovely place with amazing food and friendly, smiling service. My waiter, Keith, was so sweet. Had the eggs Benedict which did not disappoint. Eggs cooked perfectly and the potatoes were the best I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be back.

This was our second visit to Rosemary and Thyme in Hillcrest, and once again, Keith provided exceptional service. I ordered the Rosemary and Thyme Benedict, which I highly recommend—it was truly outstanding! The eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. Keith was attentive and professional throughout our meal, even expertly handling a challenging table nearby.

We look forward to coming back again soon before heading back to Australia.

The food was good but nothing spectacular. Rosemary and Thyme is a fitting name because that's all you can taste.

We had breakfast here today and what we ordered was awful: strawberry banana pancakes and brioche French toast supposedly infused with vanilla. We had a few bites and left the rest. The “brioche” French toast was a few pieces of flattened milk soaked white bread with a minuscule amount of fruit and virtually devoid of flavor. Brioche should be thick and fluffy with fresh whipped cream, rich flavor and a dusting of sugar. The pancakes tasted like the batter was poured from a carton. The fresh fruit? No more than two small strawberries sliced thin, and perhaps a quarter of a banana sliced paper thin. Blueberries? Maybe 5 tiny ones. Finally, we asked if they poured a good decaf coffee and we were told no, it’s just Maxwell House Instant.

Not sure where all the 5-star reviews come from, but they are certainly not for French toast or pancakes. A sad waste of $40.

I recently visited Rosemary and Thyme Cafe in Hillcrest and had an incredible experience. The Eggs Benedict was absolutely amazing—perfectly poached and full of flavor. The coffee was equally impressive, rich and aromatic. I also enjoyed a delicious mimosa that complemented the meal perfectly. The service was top-notch; the staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for a delightful brunch experience!

Found this secret garden cafe for breakfast. Great service, food, and ambiance. Keith was a very attentive server and gave great food recommendations! The eggs benny and the special tres leches pound cake french toast were on point. They even offered us complementary house-made cookies towards the end of our meal. This cafe is tucked away in the back of AWOL, a collection of small businesses run by Alex. Gracious owner and wonderful staff. Note: cafe is only open Thursday - Sunday for now. Will be back. Support local business!

This is such a hidden gem in San Diego! We stopped in for brunch and everything was amazing. The food was AWESOME, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very peaceful- almost like a little hidden oasis. The owner even came out and spoke with us and was extremely hospitable. 10/10 Would definitely recommend eating here!!
