We visited Rosina's on a recommendation. It's the best Italian in town because the owner walks around and tells you so. The service was great, however we found the pizza so thin that it really was just a water cracker with toppings. Also I do not recommend the Sicilian salad, it seemed to be swimming in dressing so the avocado just made it slimy.

Busy place, delicious food, will come back. Good for gluten free food. Good to book ahead

The food was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed the pasta dishes. Convenient location in our neighborhood. Service was great!

I had a very pleasant experience at Rosina's last night! We had a group of 6 for my nephews birthday. Our waiter, Colin, was sweet and attentive. Parking is street and they do have a side lot. It was busy even on a Wednesday so we walked a little but not far at all. The bread is delicious with the dipping sauce. We started with the arancini which I recommend! They are slightly smaller than I'm used to, so get 2 orders if you have a bigger party. I had the fusilli aka vodka with chicken and gluten free pasta. The G Free pasta is better than what I usually make at home, which was a major plus! I really couldn't tell the difference. Everyone enjoyed their meals! A great experience! Oh, and Wednesday is half priced bottles of wine!

Not sure what happened this time around. This is our 3rd time coming here in a while, and the last 2 experiences were GREAT. It was my boyfriend's and I's last time around the area before we moved so we thought to spend our last night in a great restaurant. Disappointed that we didn't get as much attention from any workers/servers when we were there than those around us. We made a reservation in advance, were seated, and all the waiters around us kept passing. We were ready to order, and after some time a waiter finally came up to us and asked if we've been taken care of yet- we haven't. They were okay- we were trying to explain the dishes we had in the past with pictures. We were trying to explain to the server that we made some changes to the dishes they had on the menu, but he kept telling us he was confident it was so and so dish and put it in for us; come to find out it was the wrong dishes we ordered. Also never brought the bread, we had to ask. It came after our food was served. Maybe we'll come on a less busy night and they'll pay more attention to us but sad that our "last" experience with them :(

Great food and great service! My daughter had burned her hand right before we left for dinner and the waitress brought a bowl of cold water to help make her more comfortable.

We just had our San Diego Chrono club meet up here last night. We were able to try all different menu items. Everyone really loved the lasagna. The owners and staff treated us really well. I posted some pictures of our event and some steaming, hot lasagna shots.

My wife, 2 year-old daughter, and I came here for dinner and will definitely return. Follow the server's recommendations; the soup of the day was fantastic. The Old Fashioned used Whistle Pig, which was a good touch. I had the lasagna, which is one of the best I've had, and my wife has manicotti, which was also flavorful, but not as complex as she was looking for. The server anticipated every question we had about ordering and meeting our daughter's needs, and brought her mac and cheese out with our soup so that she could eat sooner. The room was family friendly, and full of familiars that knew the hostess. Food took some time to be served, so don't plan for a quick dinner if you're on a timeline. Can't wait to go back!

Do not get the pizza here, it's super thin with small crust and is the same quality as a frozen pizza from the grocery store. The restaurant ambiance is nice and the prices are ok for eating out, but the food is terrible. Except the bread they served which was warm and freshly baked, that was good.

Our third time here. Our first visit, over a year ago was very disappointing. It was very loud, they were an hour late in seating us (despite having reservations) and never acknowledged the special occasion. Returned last Sept, as our guest wanted to go, and had an excellent experience. Went last night and was pleased. The room was quiet, we could actually speak in low tones. Food was very good. The waitress was alright but not always attentive. Overall a good experience, we will return.

Gone twice now. Entering has tasted great. Love the specials. Staff is all very friendly. The Saturday visit had much better attention than the Sunday visit. Great dessert options too!

Food and service were excellent. Enjoyed the Burrata as a starter and loved the Spaghetti Bolognese. The wine list was sufficiently broad with reasonable restaurant prices. Can't wait to go back!

Rosina's is our family's favorite Italian restaurant. As East coast transplant Italians, this is the most like home. On this night we came for a school fundraiser. The place was packed but the service was still good. We always pick our intended order but 90% of the time, we order from the specials menu and are never disappointed. On this night, as we do on most nights, we started with the rice balls, which never disappoint. My husband had a chicken meatball soup from the special menu that he said was fabulous. I had the sweet potato gnocchi with mushroom ragu from the specials menu which was incredible. But the star of the night was the veal parmigiana with capellini pomodoro. The veal was the best we have had in California and we hope it becomes a regular part of their menu, it was that good. There is a very good selection of wines, we started with two glasses of Prosecco and shared a bottle of Valpolicella over dinner. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
