A must visit Italian Store in San Diego, with a variety of Italian sauces, a range of fine wines and alcohol drinks. They have ice cream corner, a deli sandwiches and Italian food as well. The store is clean and is worth your time and money. Love this store.If are looking for a Vegan Chocolate then, this is your store, love it ??

They just redid the inside. There's no ready to pack meals left anymore. They lost the Italian flavor they still have the meatballs and sandwiches you can get at the deli 3/4 of it now is wine. Very sad

Opened in 2019 , I really enjoyed having this Italian grocery in the neighborhood. It was a great place to grab a nicer but still reasonable bottle of wine, a sandwich, pasta, sauce, and a great selection of cured Italian meats. This was our go-to place to pick up some guanciale for amatriciana and other dishes we make at home or an emergency chunk of Parmesan reggiano. They even had partnered with another local company to have a gelateriaInside. Unfortunately they have announced that they will be closing, and as of Jan 2024, it looks like it will be soon. I have heard that Krisp Beverages and Natural Foods will be moving in, but I am skeptical that they will carry some of the great unique options that Rovino had. East Village will miss you!

The food is excellent in the deli. Each occasion I tried to find a parking space or park in the pay lot a few blocks away (100% full). They used to have a phone number and I would call and receive curbside service. Now no phone number as I wanted to order meals, pizza to go. If I can't park I can't wait as there is no location to wait. This is the 2nd occasion I tried to purchase at the Foodery. I order sandwiches, pizza to go and they are busy they need prep time.

This place is amazing!!! I got the vodka sauce pasta and sausage and peppers. I was simply amazed by how good it was. I wish I would have gotten a picture but I couldn't wait another second to dig in. I look forward to more Sundays going in there for some good Italian eats. Plus the woman that helped us was so nice.
Chef Frank is exceptional. Been back multiple times and has always been exceptional. Highly recommend.

Place is noticeably going downhill. Prices are going up, quality of food is going down. Bakery charges $9.00 for a small slice off cake. Pizza was amazing and they did away with it. Who’s making the business decisions here?! We live across the street and this place was extremely convenient, but I’m not willing to overpay for expired food items just for the sake of ease. Check the expiration dates before you buy anything here!

This did not live up to the hype. There were slim pickings in the Italian grocery.I picked up a prepared spicy pasta salad. I was eating it after I left and there was sausage in it! That was not written on the packaging!!

Terrible customer service. Ordered online and the order was never received according to the foodery. Showed a screenshot of pending charge to credit card and of the order confirmation. They were clueless and my husband had to pay again. Now I have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Was a longtime customer of the restaurant, but will not be returning.
