Fraudulent tried to order fish tacos at taco Tuesday declined my card no reason wouldn't sell online discount. Fraud
It was my first time visiting. The cashier was very knowledgeable of menu items and made enjoyable recommendations. The fish tacos were very tasty, and the toppings complimented the fish well.
Undercooked shrimp and chicken
I've enjoyed Rubio's for years, but today deserves a special shout out.
TL;DR great food and service even during a rush
Even though there was a line at the register I was able to place my order in a very reasonable amount of time.
+1 for quick cashier skill
The taco Tuesday deal is always a welcome sight and $3 a pop for the taco especial makes sure that Taco Tuesdays, stay Taco Tuesdays.
+1 for good deals
My food came out pretty quickly and tasty as always! Served right to my table.
+1 for awesome kitchen staff and good ingredients
As I was leaving I saw that the register still had a lunch rush line going but they were already on it with a second register open and taking orders
+1 for anticipating needs and being prepared
Rubio's is my favorite restaurant for Taco Tuesdays and days like this make me feel happy to keep it that way
We go there on Tuesdays, I think the personnel is great 😊 the food is good too.
I love Rubios! When I'm near by one, I always stop for food there. This location has always been one of my favorites. They're fast, friendly and CLEAN! I've been to many locations and this one is the cleanest one that I've seen. 100% recommend if your looking for American Mexican food.
I've never had Rubio's I'm curious about how people eat cold fish ? I'm black we eat our fish hot js.
Quintessential service, food and tunes like back in the day!
Thank you, Rebecca, for answering a whole bunch of questions with a smile and fabulous hospitality!
Thank you to the kitchen you did a terrific job especially on the best walk full of delicious fresh cilantro!
Cheers to the bomb sweet potato tacos and terrific unsweet teas and organic natural drinks ripe for the mixin.
See you soon!
All of the people working there were extra friendly. Especially kimberly, she was extra special at customer service!
Hello,
I’ve been a Rubio’s member for over a decade and never had in issue with the restaurant “until” 2 weeks ago. I ordered online via the Rubio’s app- upon me picking up my online order, a “senior lead “ completely interrogated about my order.
Mind you, there was only 1 other customer waiting on his food. In addition to giving this woman my name , I showed her my online receipt via my email AND the Rubio’s app.
Get this, I even showed her the last 4 digits of my order number and she still held my food hostage! The “senior lead” was so disrespectful to the point that she opened up a system on a laptop called “OSO” or something that order and looked up my order.
What really pissed me off is that my order number was on my online receipt AND on the take out bag-which proves she was abusing her power!! By the time she finally relented and released my food I was beyond upset. I decided in that moment I would contact corporate (who is a joke, by the way). I submitted my grievance 3 times and no call back or acknowledgment via email. Usually Rubio’s will send an email asking “how did we do?” survey within 24-48 hours. It never came. That confirmed to me that someone purposely tried to intervene from me reporting them. I’ll never go to Mission Valley at 2075 Camino de la Reina (92108) ever again. I’ll go hungry before gambling with my money on another bad experience. The only thing the woman didn’t ask me for was my driver’s license. You’d think she was TSA at an airport! Looking back, I should’ve asked for a refund , but I was hungry. Once I arrived home, my food was cold from going back in forth , trying to prove who I was. It was completely unacceptable. That woman humiliated me in front of her staff members and the other customer waiting on his food. All I wanted was for corporate to talk to me and hear me out. Maybe even offer me a gift card for my troubles. I would not have submitted a review if they made things right, but they didn’t. I’ll tell you what, Rubio’s “takes care of their own” and you’re SOL’d if you try to seek refuge from corporate. Y’all be careful, because depending on “WHO”you are, you may be treated differently-and not in a good way.
I hope this helps someone not waste their hard earned money to a restaurant with unprofessional team leaders . You let me down Rubio’s . That’s it. That’s all.

This location is constantly out of limes, allegedly due to a “shortage” which doesn’t seem to affect any other restaurant in San Diego. Done with Rubio’s… no one wants your lemons.

After being quoted that my bill total was $46, I did not realize until I got home that I was charged a $9 tip without my authorization or knowledge for a $55 total. This is fraud. It’s the principle of the matter here. Is this really what it’s come to? Bye, Rubios.
