Located at 2720 Calhoun St., this charming shop is designed to replicate a 19th-century general store, complete with wooden shelves stocked with vintage-style goods. From unique historical items to specialty foods, every corner of the store feels curated with care. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, often sharing fun tidbits about the store's concept and the items they sell.
Good stop for a break and a treat. Stopped in for a root beer for a treat for the little one, and the nice employees let him choose a piece of candy from the shelf for being on good behavior.
When visiting Old Town San Diego, the General store is must visit spot. It brings you back to the 1800's. It has wonderful products that adults & kids will like. I always get some candy there to eat while visiting the other historic sites around Old Town.
