My family and I were looking for a cute and comfy restaurant, this one is perfect. Chanel our server went above and beyond for our needs. Food was yummy, service was amazing! Clean, comfortable. The pizza and Shrimp Orzitto is phenomenal. We will be back when we visit California again. Thank you Chanel for all your help

Had a great lunch at Sammy’s! We ordered the lobster bisque and mini duck tacos for appetizers, and the organic arugula and pear pizza and Brie cheese and truffle oil pizza for entrees. The food tasted amazing. We sat on the dog friendly patio and the service was quick and very friendly. There is also changing tables in the restroom. Recommend!

I ordered Postmates from this restaurant but realized that I needed to make a modification to my order that was no additional charge. So I called the restaurant and the woman on the phone refused to make the modification saying, "Even if it's no additional charge, we're not going to change it. It wasn't done on the app." Very rude and unaccommodating.

Hands down one of the best greek salads I have ever had.
Fresh and delicious. Have eaten here 3 times in a week just for this salad.

I really recommend this food spot! Anthony was our server and he really went out of his way to serve us. He was extremely patient and kind and such a hard worker! Definitely coming back soon!

Oh Sammy-how could you let your namesake La Jolla restaurant go downhill ?
The DINNER fish tacos were tiny.
Like what I would expect at $5 taco Tuesday happy hour.
The bread was burnt. Our server said -well that’s the way it comes.

Great Pizza, quick service time

I haven’t been to Sammy‘s La Jolla for a couple years, last night my wife and I decided to go for dinner. We ordered our usual chopped chicken salad with Kalamata olives as a choice. First of all, I was taken back by the steep price increase, but I guess inflation and all. When we got the salad, it was a bowl of chopped lettuce, very few tomatoes no Kalamata olives and when I asked the waiter, he said they ran out and substituted it with black olives that you buy in a can; nowhere near the flavor of what I remembered Sammy‘s chopped chicken salad is. Extremely disappointed!and then to come to find out that they added 5% administrative fee to the check. Never going again.

I've been coming here for years. It had been about 18 months since my last visit and suddenly their chopped salad is different and the pizza was not as good. Service was friendly but slow.
