Every once in awhile I have to hit the Chicken Pie Shop! While I get sticker shock at the price increases everywhere, the Chicken Pie Dinner is still a great value! The place has taken à lot of hits for it's service, but I had a great experience today. Marie was awesome! Quick, friendly, and attentive!

Comfy American diner food. Taste wise is in the plain and simple flavors. Gravy was on the salty side. Decent amount of food for the price. Had classic chicken pot pie meal. Pie was stuffed with chicken but lacked flavors. Came for experience, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

We go to the chicken pie shop whenever we are in the area, and we have done so for over the past 20 years! My husband and I have been going here since we first started dating. Now we bring our children, all four of them! And they all love the Chicken Pie shop just about as much as we do, if not more. Their food is always better than expected. Their staff is so wonderful and they always remember a regular, even if they are regular every so often. When you are feeding a family of six, assuming you can find a decent place that can accommodate all of you, It can be extremely expensive. At the Chicken Pie shop that is never the case! For the staff, the quality of food, and the quantity of food you cannot be the prices! This last visit there was only five of us: we each had our own entree, three of our children had milkshakes, my husband and I each had pie, and we even took a little something home to our child who was not there with us, and all of that only cost us around $80! That is unheard of around here! If you don't believe me or all of the other reviews about the Chicken Pie shop, I dare you to try it yourself!

Grate food was at the table fast. I love the inside and the service was great. But hashbrowns smelled a bit old.

Went today and had their Reuben. Amazingly good. Meat was in small chunks making it easier to eat. The sandwich was hot, the cheese was melted, the bread was crispy. You should try itHuge portions of corn, mashed potatoes, nice-sized pot pie that was filled with chicken. They've been cooking for 81 years, diner ambiance, plenty of street and off-street parking. This visit we had their Thursday special. Beef and egg noodles with corn, Cole slaw, soft yummy fresh rolls, and a selection of pies--all for $12.99. One of our group just had an a la carte pot pie for $6. Plenty of food.

The food was a generous amount for the price. The quality of the food was pretty amazing. Ask for a cinnamon roll... May not finish it. Biggest I've ever seen. The people that ran the place were great with us adults and great with the kids.

I’ve been going to here since I was a little girl and so has my grandmother. I now come with my kids. Food is always great. The service was HORRIBLE. Yarnila was very rude to us. We were still very nice to her. We teach our son to always be kind and do our best to show him. Anyways, I had one cup of coffee she never gave me a refil. When taking our order she seemed so irritated that it made us feel so uncomfortable. We waited 30 plus minutes for our food and when we finally got the food every thing was cold. We waited a long time to get our check. She gave us one napkin of utensils, there was 3 of us. We had to go to the cashier to ask for togo boxes. We arrived at 11:45 got seated right away and left at 1:30. My husband still gave her a $20 tip. I hate to complain but I hope this helps her be nicer to people

READ THIS BEFORE YOU DINE HEREI come in about once a week to order a kids meal for my boss's son when he's in the office. Every time I’ve ordered this, I’ve asked to sub the applesauce for coleslaw because he hates applesauce. Today I was helped by the owner at the counter. Who proceeds to ask me "you know this is for kids?". I responded "yes and it is for a kid". He again rudely asks me "oh yeah and he likes coleslaw instead of applesauce?". I responded “yup that’s what he likes”. He than proceeds to further interrogate me if this is indeed for a child. I asked him if he needs a photo ID or blood sample from people who order a kids meal. Realizing I was talking to a wall, I politely said “you know what? no thank you” and attempted to exit the establishment with another customer who witnessed the whole thing and was leaving in disgust. The owner chased me out of the establishment to the sidewalk to scream that kids meals are for kids only. That's like if McDonald's asked for proof that the happy meal was indeed for a kid. I'm still paying for the food regardless if a kid, a dog, a man, or a women eats it. What's next are you going to ask me what race and religion of the person I’m feeding your food to is?I can not believe this is an owner of any establishment! If you're that concerned over a $3 difference of a kids meal and an adult meal, don't allow people to order it to go. But to yell at customers and then proceeded to chase them out of an establishment? That is uncalled for behavior from anyone who is an adult.Their saving grace is all the other amazing friendly staff that work here.**UPDATE: to the owners response: if $3.00 and applesauce or coleslaw, makes or breaks your business…you’re doing something wrong buddy. Congratulations on being an expert in knowing what picky kids like to eat and not eat.

Delicious!! We were visiting from Denver and were starving and stumbled into this little gem! Our server was absolutely lovely and kind, we came in from the rain all bedraggled and she helped us.We got the split pea soup and 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich, and the chicken turkey pie dinner with fries and a roll and coleslaw, whipped potatoes corn and a side salad.Their split pea soup was to die for and the BLEU CHEESE DRESSING is so incredible!! So creamy and flavorful, highly recommend!!
