Food was very good and value for the money. Servers are attentive and you can't beat the view of the harbor!

I took my fiancee out to this restaurant and was actually happy to see such a beautiful restaurant located on the water. We had the veggie tacos and they were just perfect and I'm not even into vegan food but i did it for my then girlfriend my now fiancee. We had a wonderful time thanks to all the good staff and of course we gave them each $30 tips for their service. We also encountered a friendly seagull so if you see him His name is Steven Seagull.

Really cute spot! The menu is mostly seafood and has a great bar menu. No doubt this place has some of the greatest views of the SD bay and Coronado bridge.

We were seated at a lovely table for 2 at the corner, so we had water views all around. Service was very nice. We both ordered the New England clam chowder which was not exceptional but okay. I expect clam chowder to have more clams and taste and less flour. We also ordered the onion rings which were tasteless, huge, and positively swimming in grease. We should have been offered heart transplants as a side to those rings! If you are pro-views and food indifferent, this isn’t a terrible choice. For real foodies who care that they would pay $15 for those hideous onion rings, skip this place.

This place has a great view. You basically are in top of the water. The service was great and the food came out fast. The selection is quite limit however. The price is reasonable for an ocean view restaurant like this. This is a handicap friendly facility with access for wheelchair. Plenty of parking spaces in the Seaport Village. Great for family or romantic dinner.

The food was average. My order was entered in correctly, but I did not send my food back. The server was friendly and apologetic. There is a nice view of the water.

We gravitated to this restaurant as the view was amazing and they were busy. (meaning they must have great food) I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were the best I have ever had! My husband had the fish tacos and they were good too but not as good as my shrimp tacos. They melted in my mouth. The view of the Coronado Bridge was right in front of us and we could hear the water underneath our feet. The bay was really pretty to look at while we were dining. Great drinks and service too. Highly recommend!

Eating over the water couldn't be more relaxing. Amazing location. Food is very good.

I would have dinner somewhere else and go to this place for a drink before or after. During sunset is the time to go. The views of the water and the landscapes are magnificent. And this place literally is build on top of the water. Other than that, prepare to be disappointed if you plan to have dinner. They can do so much better!

It was a very pleasant lunch being able to eat basically right on the ocean. Kind of expensive but a nice splurge.

If you are about quality food, I'd say pass on this place. Even after adding extra lemon to the guacamole, it tasted flavorless. I don't think it was made fresh on that day. Plain bland food with no flavor. Average drinks for $15 each. Not worth it.

Had a Friday late lunch here around 2pm and it was a nice sunny day. It was a good meal. View of the water and Coronado was amazing. Drinks and food was good. Service was good in the beginning until the middle of the meal. Then we couldn’t find our server to get the check. (Change of shift?) That’s the reason I didnt rate this 4/5.

The atmosphere is great, the restaurant is above water and the view is phenomenal. I wish we could’ve seen the sunset but the weather didn’t help at all. It was a cool day but the staff provided heaters which is a plus, big shoutout to all the staff, they were all very attentive. Drinks were served fast. I liked their coffee specially in this cool weather. The Seabass Veracruz didn’t satisfy though, It felt like a frozen product.

Amazing location with great view, the food was ok, nothing spectacular, service was ok.We didn’t get much service but the waitress for the other tables seemed be much better, so hit and miss, I guess.

I’m shocked to see so many high reviews. The view was the only thing good about San Diego Pier Cafe.We came for lunch on a weekend. They weren’t very busy. I would guess approximately half the the tables were full. We sat about 10 or 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to take drink orders. We ordered drinks and food at the same time. They both came out quick once ordered. However, drinks never got refilled and the food was very bland. We ordered fish and chips and the fish tacos. I have way better at other places that charged way less. The restaurant has an amazing view but if you’re looking for good food and service, you can find better in San Diego. You’re paying for the view! The restaurant was visited by row-boat pirates while we ate. The kids appreciated that.
