Service from the moment I stepped in was courteous and friendly. The menu looked great so I had the chicken sandwich.
All I can say is it was so delicious and I'm glad I chose this place for my lunch stop. More food than I could eat and very reasonably priced.
I'll post some photos too. 5 stars all the way! Geoff from the UK

Tourist trap. Warm beer. Fish tacos were terrible. Tiny overcooked pieces of fish. What awards is this place winning? Don’t waste your time

I was visiting the area and ate here. It's in a high traffic, amusement area with a board walk but when we ate lunch there it wasn't really crowded and enjoyable.
The service was friendly and the food was great. Fun experience.

First restaurant we visited given proximity to our place. The food was amazing (Fish and Chips, wings and Quesadillas). My kids smashed their lemonade which they usually don’t and once I tasted it, I realized why.

We stopped here on our boardwalk stroll and had some cold brews with the Chilean Black Mussels. We were pleasantly surprised with how good everything was. Definitely a hidden gem.

Stopped by Sandbar and had a great experience. The service was solid and the food hit the spot. We started with chips, guac, and salsa—fresh, crunchy, and flavorful. The tacos were the highlight, especially the Surf n Turf taco. That one stood out the most—packed with flavor and perfectly balanced.
Overall, it’s a fun spot with good food, good service, and a relaxed vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you’re craving tacos and a cold drink.

Had a great night cap. Meg was wonderful, enjoyed her friendly demeanor. Would recommend.
Meg at the sandbar is so delightful and made me feel so welcome and the food is delicious. The fish tacos don’t even taste like fish but in the best way!

This is a local sports bar with a small menu yet a wide variety of options to choose from. The taco selection is why you come there. The food was excellent. It's right on probably the busiest corner on Mission Beach so it's pretty busy and noisy in the area. Plenty of TVs for games and can be seen from everywhere except the small patio, which is where we sat. We were able to turn and watch the inside TVs though.
Would definitely go back on another trip for sure

We are visiting San Diego from the UK, and the Sandbar was recommended to us by our server at our hotel. So we took his recommendation up and was not disappointed, the tacos were really tasty, the drinks were great value and the service from the young lady we had was excellent. I’m sorry we didn’t get her name but we had a laugh about steps and she told us she was a runner. So a great night and exactly what we were looking for
