Let's start off by saying this place is not worth the hype. The staff had such a weird vibe the guy that took my order was not friendly at all, just lots of pretentious people. The food was absolutely disgusting, the beans had no flavor the mahi-mahi tacos were flavorless, and they only have flour tortillas! Very white washed when it's actually supposed to be on corn tortilla. Definitely save your money if you visit Mission beach and try an authentic Mexican restaurant instead!

i love it here so much!!! the wings and chicken tenders were divine. their ranch is also amazing. the people are so nice and the atmosphere is so welcoming. the sky bar on top was so pretty too. highly recommend!!

"Wings were good." - from my 13 year old dining partner!We LOVE sandbar. We come here every time we stay on mission beach. It's a sports bar, downstairs can be kind of loud - but the tv's are great for march madness watching! We always start with the AMAZING pretzel bite appetizer. Always the best.Tonight I had a cobb salad. Got exactly what i expected & it was refreshing. The little dude ordered the wings and enjoyed the Spicy Garlic Ranch sauce. YUM. The only reason I took off one star was that I never got a water refill our whole meal. The upstairs is really our favorite part of the restaurant, but it was a little too cold to sit up there tonight!Great job and of course we will be back!Kid-friendliness: It's great! Kids are never questioned and the servers treat them like adults! Super appreciate that it's a bar, but also family friendly!

My family and I went here to enjoy a few tacos after our beach day and I am absolutely appalled at the customer service we received by our waitress May. She made our experience at this facility absolutely atrocious. I am trying to make my children order on their own to improve their social skills and my dear daughter Susan forgot to make her tacos plain. May processed to return to our table and confront my poor daughter with extreme attitude how she did not give her modification for her tacos. My daughter was crying the whole ride home and refused to eat her tacos because she was convinced May ruined them. In fact she charged me for TWO tacos which was incorrect so I had to give her a modification, looks like you make mistakes too May. I am disgusted and absolutely will not be returning to this establishment.

The pretzel bite appetizer was so yummy! And the TKO tacos delicious. Grilled fish was yummy but Carne asada was mind blowing. It's all alittle over priced. But the tacos are so good!!! I say get the tacos a la carte. The side of beans and guacamole that come with the meal aren't great. Save a couple bucks and get the tacos.

Best nachos and great taco Tuesdays. They make a mean margarita too. One of our favorite places for Mexican food in San Diego. Pretty crazy in the summer, but we love it after Labor Daynand before Memorial Day. The fish tacos live up to their ratings!
